My 9 year old grand daughter, Lucy, is learning to play the flute at St Gilbert's School, Stamford, UK. Now I have found a role model for her. Wonderful!
Love both of these selections! I had a student who played Syrinx in 9th grade and the Faure Fantasie in 11th grade (from memory of course). This student was from a very small town in Wilson Oklahoma..she was the top HS flutist in Oklahoma in grades 10-11-and 12! Very brilliant- played flute,clarinet, sax, trumpet, horn, baritone, piano, and guitar all quite well- She will be an M.D. in 2017. You never know the abilities of a student until you give them the chance to show those abilities!
J'ai au moins 40 versions sur disque de Syrinx. C'est une des plus belles versions que j'ai entendue, quelle belle sonorité, ronde et chaude! Aussi une des plus ravissantes flûtistes!

Not crazy about her interpretation of Syrinx, but still a nice job. The Faure was very nice. Harmonic exercises would help with the notes that cracked. Loved her interpretation of this.
Very nice playing. She rushes through the start of a new phrase in many places, and she could enhance her pretty sound and expressiveness even more by taking the smallest bit of time to execute thoughtful entrances into the beginning of her next new phrase in the piece. It would improve her already good performance and make it an even better performance. She also has a tendency to go sharp at the ends of the runs in the second part of the piece. I like her playing.

One of my favourite pieces and she plays it soooooo well. However, I am a female and I am a flutist and she is very beautiful! And thats nice to say. You should pratice to spread nice vibes too.
