I got my first Morakniv last week. It is a dark green companion (s model). It is by far my favorite knife and I absolutely love it. With the help of my science teacher I wrapped the sheath in Paracord in an x pattern, which looks cool. Its very cool to see where my knife came from!
Love your products, quality, reliability and value. I keep around 25 different moras in my knife collection and have given many many moras as gifts to friends over the years. My favorite mora is the pro C but I like all of them. Even got a 2/0 blank and made an antler handle for it. This is great, keep doing what you guys are doing.
Absolutely incredible videos to go with absolutely amazing knives! I hope to see more of your videos in the future and maybe we can get a sneak peek at the design process, how you guys come up with concepts and drafting to the prototype and manufacture process.

The retention system needs bit more improvements as after short time it looses its retention capability to a degree. Other than that I am proud owner of one off your knives that is absolutely great suevival tool as it comes with fire starter and even sharpener attached to rhe sheat.
Been really enjoying my Kansbol from you. Is there any chance of ever getting a full flat grind version? I have many Scandi ground knives, however i lack a cheap but dependably flat grind in a tough stainless steel. The new Victorinox Venture looks to be a good fit for what i need, but i much prefer the price point of the Kansbol, even if it means not having a full tang
Not likely, the Morakniv Basic 511 (C) is a construction tool and a genuine classic craft tool, not intended for surviving on the wild side. I will be back in Sweden for my bushcraft holiday in August and one of my destinations is the town of Mora. As a collector, I own almost every model of Mora knives and would like to visit the Mora factory. Is there a possibility? Or is it allowed to take pictures of the factory premises?
Which model makes your hand sore? I really like the TPE/rubberized handles(as on the Companion's. Great knives), they are extremely grippy, which I prefer.. But if carving for longer time, the smooth Basic 511 is less abrasive on the skin. Or the wooden handled ones. Those are also very fine for longer periods of carving.
@@toast2437 plenty of other Mora's with different handles to try.. Try a Companion, or Companion HD with its wider handle. No pommel protruding, just a smooth softly curved handle. No sharp guard sticking out and into the hand. Give it a try. Even the Mora 511 is a good choice. But given your complaints, I would advice a Companion or the HD version of it.
Why do I feel like Santa Claus just gave me a tour of the North Pole? 😃 I have always been a HUGE fan of Morakniv, and I still am! BUT I have also been very hard on them for their recent ash handled 'collection.' As it stands now, I feel this was a mistake on their part, and I for one would love to hear someone from Morakniv address it. If I were them, I would speak to the issue because I would feel I owed it to my fans, and I don't understand why they haven't.

I only wish the retention on my Garberg and Kansbol sheathes were half that of this dude's skinny jeans.

I use a morakniv scout 39 knife and the guard is really hurting my hand and the handle too
