With fewer than 11 points, responder should not be using stayman, unless they have one of the hands where it is suitable to use it with a weak hand. So if you have a fairly balanced hand, just pass one no trump. Hope that answers your question.
@@TonyStawBridgeClass well it is a rare bid for sure but a lot of people don't know that it is Stayman aswell...also you could be looking for a "better" slam.

There is 6th use of Stayman... 2c-2d-3nt-4c would also be Stayman.
