Happy Birthday! Congrats on your fast-moving birthday present! My only current dive required us to maintain position, as the boat's captain refused to pick us up (Grr...). Wasn't so bad below 10 feet, as it was a wind-driven surface current, but surfacing to meet the boat was a bear.
Effective Air Conditioning on the cheap: A friend of mine who lived near a lake dropped a weighted, insulated hose into the lake, about 30 feet down. A small pump circulated the much cooler water through an old car radiator. A fan on low blowing through the radiator cooled his house. A pan collected water condensation, diverting it into the same outflow as the other water. The discharged water was still cooler than the surface level water. Small pump, small fan, on low, near-zero electricity used.
