Dawn Golden is a fantastic song writer and I love this song. It’s like he’s trying to convince himself he doesn’t love this person anymore by writing a song saying so even if it’s not fully true. Sometimes musicians need this to let go, to convince themselves that who they love isn’t right for them.

Heart-breaking and true. Reminds me of stuff I went through in past relationships. I listened to the whole album while walking the Camino de Santiago. This song was definitely part of the healing process.

Not sure if this is a cry out for help that's leading down a dark path of something bad, suicide or otherwise. But I'm here for you, and while I by no means, wish to preach anything, I know what it's like, and I know what it's like dealing with suicide, or deep dark depressions.
I also know there is only one real answer to receiving not just happiness (which is temporary), but real continuous joy that does not cease no matter the circumstance, no matter how sad or dire things get. I guess the part of this song that sucks the most is you are forced to keep playing it. When I say forced that is a bit of an overstatement because it is definitively a beautiful record but what it evokes can only be described as unyielding pain and loss.
