The taxi thing is way too accurate, especially since the controls to enter a cab in GTA IV are the opposite from GTA V.
I actually didn’t mind it, I was mostly just happy I didn’t need to drive everywhere. Also am I the only one who preferred the cheat system in 4? Other than getting hit and it canceling you just need to prep them once you get the phone and then you have them the rest of the game. Health, armor and no cops in less than 15 seconds

Im 24 now and I remember seeing this as a kid, along with newgrounds videos, so many memories... I can also remember being amazed by GTA IV in every aspect, back when new video games actually brought innovations to the table, it felt bigger than say Half Life Alyx with Valve Index at that time. Nowadays i only play simracing and really old games, like PS2 games i never got to play before or whatever. Shame to see GTA 6's first trailer yesterday too, R* became what it criticized the most.

It's okay, just not amazing like most people make it out to be. Rockstar is getting more money and a higher budget, and there's getting lazy and trying less because they know people will buy either way. But, at least they still respect their customers contrary to other big companies
I liked V more than IV mostly because of the reasons listed in the video. You hav regenerative health in V but only to 50% of your max life. I hated going to a hotdog stand every 20mins because I was low on health from boxing civilians.
Also, hiding from the cops is alot simpler(Hop in a trashcan thats under a building and go into cover mode).
Online in the beginning was HORRIBLE.(still hate the INITIAL character creation)

I leveled up my character to level 85(before they gave missions diminishing returns of Rep and Cash, so survival with 4 friends) within the first two weeks(before i knew a money glitch even existed), robbed every convenience store, did every race or mission at least once, to have it all disappear.
It was fun so i did it again, even faster got up to lvl50 in a day and a half.
Wiped, still fun so i did it again, got to 40, wiped.
Got pissed stayed off till I heard news of them finally fixing the problem, hopped back on, played, got bored because decreased payouts. Traded in the game, day passes HEISTS FINALLY RELEASED! -_-
I'll gladly go through the Grind of Online with my ps4 or pc this fall.
11 years later, a whole other decade, and this is still the best animation ever created

I haven't seen this animation in like 10 years. It's 1:30am, Sept 2nd 2023 and the cop saying, quick, shoot the noob! just popped into my head so I had to find the video.
I had no idea Oney was the one who made it, I remember how funny I found Egoraptor's awesome series so seeing this one with a similar style made me want to watch it back then. Holy fuck how quickly time has gone and weird/sad how things turned out for Oney and Egoraptor.
It amazes me that the person who made this actually turned out ok
