I very very HIGHLY suggest anyone enjoying these lessons to download the Q&A practice materials from DJ Taiji’s BandCamp (link in the description). You can set cue points to practice each individual scratch, slow down the pitch while learning, and loop the instrumental to practice over and over. It has proven to be the fastest and most efficient way to master these lessons. If I have 5 minutes to spare, I fire up the Q&A and squeeze in a practice sesh. Support this artist while getting real good, real fast. Win win!!! 💪
Hello Taiji, first of all thanks for your awesome tutorials. I was wondering with which finger are you hitting the crossfader ? I can't tell if it's the index or the middle finger... Thanks!
Thanks for the comment! Basically, I hit the faders with my index finger, but sometimes my middle finger. Either one is fine, as long as it's not the ring or pinky finger. You can hit with two of them, for example.
halo taiji, may i ask ,the transformer scratch ,which finger should i use in the crossfader side,i often index finger,But in the fast beat, I feel that he is not strong enough,When I watch the video, do you seem to use your middle finger in a fast rhythm?
I started out primarily using my middle finger. However, thinking about the combo with Crab, I practiced using my index finger. As a result, I think it is safe to use the snap of the wrist while using the index finger. The fact that I use my middle finger during fast movements is a remnant of an old habit.haha!
@@TAIJIofficial Thank you for your reply taiji hah~This finger problem has troubled me for a long time,So when you are doing quick scratch or quick scratch combo, which finger do you mainly use in the crossfader side, and Which finger is the main training one now?🤣
@@jimjim8616 There is no difference in ease of use between the middle and index fingers in terms of sensation, but perhaps the middle finger is unconsciously used for the very fast movement...lol It is best not to use the ring or pinky finger, but otherwise you can do it with any other finger you are comfortable with.😉
If your fingers are dry, you can't control the record well. In this case, use a hand cream or similar. Also be careful not to hold the outside of the record too much.

My fingers don't grip well, bad grip.....
Professor TAIJI, do you have any advice so that my fingers don't slip on my SERATO vinyl record ?
If your fingers are dry, you can't control the record well.
In this case, use a hand cream or similar.
Also be careful not to hold the outside of the record too much.
@@TAIJIofficial Thank's professor TAIJI........
