This week we are focusing on the word Determination, “a firm or fixed intention to achieve a desired end.”
Have you ever looked into the life of Michael Phelps, who is arguably the greatest Olympic athlete to ever compete.
He often talks about the importance of being mentally, physically and emotionally tough.
There are two key ways to get this toughness.
First, is setting goals no matter how big or small.
Second, is sacrifice and putting aside the little things that do not help you reach your goals.
As we move forward let's see how we can show this Determination at school, at home and in the community.
Remember you have Determination, Optimism, Generosity and Solidarity!
