I've watched about 5,000 videos before bleaching my hair things I've learned to do 1. Start on dirty hair 2. Do NOT DO YOUR ROOTS UNTIL YOU FINISH THE BOTTOM 3. LET IT SIT for a while until you get the color you want and if it's burning 🥵 that's what I've learned so far I'm bleaching my hair for New years honey blonde I can't wait Edit: feb 8 and I did it 💝🥰
I see a lot of girlys saying her hair ain’t get bright enough because of the previous dye, that could be true, but also you should’ve waited like 30 minutes to do your roots, because your scalp generates heat, which causes your roots to dye faster. I don’t want the girls with virgin hair to try this and then wonder why their hair didn’t come out right even though their hair was never touched before. All love 🫶🏾✌🏾
I did this with my virgin hair and it turned out better than hers, i did my roots last and the overall color was like 2 shades brighter than the ends of her hair but overtime the copper gets darker. So it all depends on the person hair just bc its virgin don’t mean the hair wont take the color completely
She didn’t bleach her ends long enough but first you need to know what level your hair is starting at and what color level you want to achieve you also need to know what developer to use and remember developers all do the same thing 20 30 and 40 all can achieve what you Want it depends on how long you leave it on if your going for a blonde example you can’t get to a light blonde in one sitting or one bleach sesh so what she should have did was used 30 developer on mid lengths ends first leave it on for 30 minutes at least or intill desired color is achieved then do her roots with no more than 20
Part of it is the previous color on your ends, part is because your hair is naturally coarser, but the biggest part is that the heat from your scalp makes the color process faster! You should've left your ends for at least 30 minutes and done your roots for the last 10-15 minutes. You still look gorgeous and your color looks amazing!
Definitely glad you realized at the end that your results were because of the previous box-dye you had on your hair. I learned from watching Brad Mondo videos (definitely suggest looking at his tutorials if you're bored or want to try this again) Basically, box dye is a gamble because you have no idea what is in the developer so you need to lift your hair with bleach and developer before dying it a bright color. Your roots were virgin hair so it took to the the developer in the box dye easily ❤Your hair looked gorgeous in the end btw that stylist did amazing!
aww thank you ! 💕 & yess ill cut my hair quick too but i be scared to try new colors. im trying to step outside of my comfort zone more so this is definitely a step !
Same exact thing happened to me with this same dye! Roots got super bright and ends, nothing. It’s because of the previous color on your ends. I dyed mine right before starting my locs so I just grew the color out!
Colour doesn’t lighten colour, it only deposits colour. You needed to remove the existing colour first or bleach your hair then add the copper colour. It turned out wonderful ❤❤❤❤
honestly I always go to a professional for my hair color. it is expensive BUT it always comes out how i want and i dont have to stain up my own bathroom etc. I also have less risk of damaging my hair. i only get my hair colored a few times a year...maybe 3 tops. while doing it yourself saves money, it doesnt always end up how you want. if you don't know what youre doing, I'd just go to a salon, especially dealing with bleach etc. i dont really splurge on anything like nails and stuff but i take my hair seriously so id rather not risk it doing it myself because im clumsy lol. nothing wrong with learning to do it yourself tho. i know plenty of ppl who do it themselves, including my mother. I personally dont have the confidence or patience to do it myself lol. I'll spend that little extra coin every time. i do wanna try the adore colors tho for in between salon visits.
Sometimes it doesn’t. I spent $500 at a salon and all they did was over process my near waist length hair! I had hot roots and all my hair fell out. Like all of it. I had to end up getting a short bob! It’s been a year for 6 months I had to keep cutting it because it was so damaged. I’m now back to bra length. Don’t be like me y’all! Them people tore my hair up! For some reason when I do my hair myself it grows better. I even bleached my hair myself and did a better job! I do go in for trims and cuts and occasional blow outs but I mostly do it myself
Ok the roots are closer to your head so the heat got them bright. Next time go with a higher developer, or use the same and do the ends first and use heat and then do your roots. You got hot roots.
Roots are going to process quicker because of your body heat. If you apply heat on your ends it will work too. Use a blow dryer when you have it in a wrap or buy one of those heat wraps where you can hook it too your blow dryer works wonders.
Colour does not lift Colour. Direct dye like loreal hi lift only works on natural hair. If you had stript the black out with a color remover it would have been great.
@@ForUsNaturals just put it all over. It does nothing to your natural hair. It just makes the color molecules shrink and then you need to rins your hair really good for a long time. Wash and rins again.
This is how I want my hair, roots lighter than ends (I have Locs and I’m doing two strand twists) in my brain the vision looks good but we shall see in a couple of days lol
Is usually use high lift color on virgin hair or it usually doesn’t do much. You should have bleach it out first then add your color. But I’m glad your learning and your hair came out beautiful 😍
I have dyed my hair like this twice from pitch black which is my natural hair color and honestly, without bleaching it I had to dye my hair twice each time. Want to do it again but thinking about bleaching it first then color
Once you dye your hair black Issa NO you have to use color oops or bleach to get the black pigment out that’s why I never sue my hair black chocolate brown is the darkest I go
Aye this what happened to me 😭😭 I had to run back to the hair store so I can bleach it and the moment I bleached and conditioned it the dooor came out perfect but I was pissed I even went thru that

I’m literally on the fence about dyeing my hair this color. It’s so pretty 😍
do it !! 😍

It came out that way because you used to dye it BLACK before now, so that's why it's harder to change the ends..

I got a question and anyone can answer !! Can I use the dye she used if my hair is already processed with bleach but my roots are black ?
Is it because you mixed the root dye separately from the dye you put on the ends?
no, it's because i already had color on my hair except my roots (my new-growth) i colored my hair black a few months back & color dont lift color. my natural hair color is brown.
Ohhhhhhhhhhh…well it looks super bomb 😍

How long ago did you have your hair pink? I had red like 2 1/2 years ago and I want to do this color so bad
omg I just dyed my hair ginger from being red its like a copper red🙁.. its cute but ima try again so I can get it more orange
You put the cap on when you did your roots you should have done that on your ends
Can u perm your hair before applying those colors
If your ends were already colored and the regrown hair is natural ofc the roots are going to be lighter abuse it is non processed hair, next time do a Bleach wash to lift up the color at the length and ends of the hair.
