As you guys know, the situation with MAPPA and their intense mistreatment of their animators is a huge problem currently and it definitely isn't something to be ignored. I really hope we can keep our voices outspoken about this issue and thank the ANIMATORS for their efforts and dedication to this anime. You guys have done amazingly and brought so many of us joy. The one guy who animated Yuji vs Choso I believe was it that complained the most due to not getting any recognition. Chosos fight with yuji was not the "main big fight" but rather a side piece with bad direction etc. which resulted in nobody caring about that fight. No epic music etc. were added aswell unlike in Sukuna vs Mahoraga.

13:35 apparently the flame thing is something that has nothing to do with his slicing. Mahoraga already adapted to it so the slices can't kill him or hurt him so Sukuna used something else Mahoraga was adapting. Jogo also knew that Sukuna cursed technique is cut things up that's why he was surprised.
Yea the way to beat mahoraga is by using a attack they will destroy it before it can adapt. If sukuna had used his domain at the start mahoraga would have died instantly.
Other people already have said this but Megumi isn’t strong enough to beat Makora. Gojo was more getting at how Megumi could be really strong but he is far from even competing with someone like Yuta or Gojo.

A really simple breakdown of Mahoraga's (since it's not as well explained here as in the manga) ability is adaptation. Once it experiences something either enough or long enough it will no longer be affected by that thing. A good example is the underwater scene, after it had been underwater for a few moments, it developed gills.
In the case of Sukuna's technique, Mahoraga was adapting to the concept of slicing in general, so both of Sukuna's types of slicing were getting less and less effective. The only way to 'kill' Mahoraga is to one-shot it before it can adapt, which is why Sukuna had to use Fuga again. Bt that point, Sukuna's domain was doing nearly no damage.
Just a quick thing on Sukuna - his innate technique is slicing. He can just do other stuff too.

The entire reason for Yuji's existence till now has been to house Sukuna, who he let out for 10-12 minutes for this destruction to be caused in Shibuya. The song refers to Yuji as "my special", its a big dig at Yuji's core philosophy of always helping those around him since he is stronger than most.

I am not sure if Megumi CAN subjugate the Summon (though I am rooting for him) From my interpretation Gojo was saying that anyone who has the ten summons technique can Summon that one. But as was mentioned NO ONE has been able to tame it so far.
Megumi has actually tried to summon it three times now. One in episode 1, once in the fourth or fifth episode and third when they were fighting the brothers.
As Gojo said: “Dying to win and risking death to win are two different things” Megumi has this mentality that his death is worth a win sadly. 😢
I think it's more like he is rooting for Megumi to subjugate Mahoraga. Just with the ritual Megumi can kill anyone but it will be the last thing he'll ever do. If he succeed then he will be able to beat Gojo and live to tell the tale.

Megumi almost used it against 1 finger sukuna at the end of episode 1 into episode 2 before gojo showed up, episode 5 against 3 fingers sukuna, episode 19 against hanami, episode 23 against the finger bearer curse (which he said screw it and busted his incomplete domain) and last episode right before toji talked to him.

6:54 Megumi isn't as strong as Yuta nor is he stronger than Gojo, Makora or Mahoraga is. The purpose of the ritual is subjugate it by beating it in a fight but Makora is too strong sp nobody can do it. So people use the ritual as a trump card, that force you an your opponent to fight the Makora knowing very well that it will kill you and your enemy. Megumi implies that the Ze'nin who killed Gojo's ancestor did the same thing that's why they both died.

Makora is not stronger than Yuta or Gojo. Yuta is a perfect counter for Makora, and Gojo in a 1v1 fight with Makora can one shot with purple.

But Yuta is not the perfect counter for Mahoraga it's the opposite, Mahoraga is the perfect counter for Yuta. The boy has a big arsenal of attacks thanks to his Copy ability and Mahoraga will adapt to all of them.
Sukuna's technique sends invisible slashes at his opponents. He does 2 types of slashes though I forgot which is which
Cleave and Dismantle. Dismantle sends cursed energy outward as a blade to cut whoever it comes in contact with where Cleave more or less does the same thing but takes into account the targets cursed energy and can be adjusted in its output.
Basically, Dismantle is the same strength always, whereas Cleave can be enhanced to cut through harder targets

Just a tiny comment but im addicted to jjk😭 sukuna isnt a cursed spirit, in the beginning that sword mahoraga used generated positive energy (so reverse cursed technique, its like when gojo makes red) sukuna was saying if he was a cursed spirit, it would have killed him in one blow. Thats why sukuna gets suprised later on bc when he gets hit by the sword AGAIN, mahoraga was outputting regular cursed energy instead, since he adapts to everything. Very nitpicky sorry😭
Also, along with the unfinished animation, mainly in the beginning, there were a lot of scenes that straight up had to be cut from the ep, that's why specifically the 2nd half action is kinda hard to follow, there's literally scenes missing. Idk if you have twitter but some animators have posted some of their uncut scenes (sukuna does a sick ass drop kick💀) maybe one day we can get a directors cut of this ep in all of its glory

Because it doesnt work like that. You can have only 1 technique, thats it. This technique May have different moves, but all those moves has to follow some consept. For ex Gojo has limitless, basicly space manipulation, and even tho he has different skills like Red, blue etc, all of them are just a different aspect of "limitless" aka space manipulation.
So Sukuna cant have slashes as his technique and this "fuga" at the same time. All this is part of his technique, slashes are just the basic aplication, and "fuga/open" is like an extended version of his technique.

So to me it seems more likely that dismantle and cleave are just extensions of his domain (imagine Gojo being able to flood people’s minds with info outside of his domain, but his has a barrier to stop him from doing this). But fuga is his true technique. Also Mahoraga adapted to Sukuna’s slashes and his domain but not to fuga, meaning fuga is a totally different technique

Mahoraga's ability is adapt to any phenomenon not judt cursed technique
Like he adapted to water in order to breath and he adapted to slices in general not just his cursed technique
Any type of slash ( dismantle/dissect and fillet/cleave are just slices so mahoraga focused onto adapting to the concept of slicing and his domain was useless )
Sukuna's own technique is severing and slicing. Namely Dismantle, the ability to chop things into pieces with a lot of small slices, and Cleave, the ability to destroy anything with one single huge slice. Sukuna's domain combines these two techniques and makes them guarantee hit the opponent and everything else in the domain. Except these, Sukuna has a ability called "Black Box" which he can use time to time to use certain special techniques which are not actually his. Like the flame arrow and a lot of other stuff too
His main ability is to slice everything, but his DE can save other abilities that Sukuna can use them whenever he wants to
You might've missed a few things (I can't blame you since this episode was BEAUTIFUL), but here's the gist:
Sukuna's main technique has to do with slashing and cutting. Simple yet (obviously) effective.
There are two types he utilizes, Dismantle and Cleave; *Dismantle* cuts down anything with no Cursed Energy such as inanimate objects (like phones), *Cleave* cuts down anything with Cursed Energy.
*His Domain Expansion combines the two...*
...and since Sukuna is one of the ONLY users to use a Domain Expansion without a barrier (like Gojo, Mahito and everyone else need to), the radius of Malevolent Shrine literally covers the whole city.
This is why Mahoraga is such a big deal, especially if the fight continued; *he has the power to adapt to all phenomena.*
Not a specific attack with a specific type of power source, but an event or act that's happening to Mahoraga.
During the beginning of the fight, Sukuna was using Dismantle to attack Mahoraga. During that time, the wheel over the head spun, and Mahoraga began to adapt. It spun a few more times throughout the fight.
The reason why he could effortlessly walk towards Sukuna while inside his domain was because Mahoraga was gradually adapting NOT to a specific technique, but cutting attacks in general.
The only known way to beat Mahoraga is in an OTK maneuver, more specifically, something Mahoraga hasn't adapted to yet and with an OVERWHELMING force; Sukuna's "◼️ Open" fire technique that he used against Jogo in the last episode was EXACTLY what he needed to win.
Last thing, you're technically right about Megumi having the potential to reach Gojo; however the only thing stopping him is himself. His mindset of never being able to reach Gojo is exactly what is holding him back.
It's a recurring problem he's had since Season 1, and what happened with Mahoraga is the product of that problem.
There are a LOT of times Megumi was willing to summon that MONSTER, the lecture Gojo gave him after the baseball episode was calling out that problem.
It's honestly a very interesting topic that I really enjoy, unfortunately the side effects of Megumi's dismissing of this lecture lead to Sukuna being forced to massacre THOUSANDS of people.
Sakuna ability is slice his slices move so fast nobody can see them which makes it extremely hard to dodge or counter he can also manipulate fire so far thats all they have shown
Sukuna is a sorcerer from a thousand years in the past, thee most powerful one at that
Sukuna is a sorcerer who found a way to turn his fingers into cursed objects when he died. One of epithets is "king of curses" but that does not mean he is a curse spirit.
It’s not that Sukuna is “nice”, it’s just that he acknowledges strength, as he lives by it and values it. That’s why he was disappointed with Gojo for not being the leader of the jujutsu world just bc he’s the strongest. Also why he was disappointed with Yuji for losing to Choso, who he considered weak. He “values” people by their strength bc that’s the only thing he finds entertaining in the world, as he is basically all-powerful and has nothing else to interest him, hence why he acknowledged Jogo for being “a little fun” and wanted Megumi to use all his power against him in Season 1.
Also, he just has two techniques: the cutting and the fire. Those aren’t connected, at least as far as we know.
Megumi can’t defeat Mahoraga. That’s why he’s almost used it as a last resort throughout S1, knowing it would be suicide.
Uraume is not a curse spirit, neither is Sukuna, is a missconception, Sukuna is a sorcerer also Uraume

In manga, mahoraga adapted to Gojos red and blue, even his infinity not to mention his domain UV. If mahoraga survived gojos hollow purple 2 times like sukuna. Gojo would have nothing to finish it off💀. Its almost adapted sukunas domain, sukuna only won cuz of the fire arrow. So, mahoraga have the biggest potential in jjk cuz its adaptation doesn't stop(source: ch 236).
@GeneralAlex251 you're so wrong, mahoraga didn't adopt to uv or infinity or blue/red. Sukuna and megumi took that burden of adaptation for 90% of the fight. Mahoraga on his own is easily one shot by maximum blue output let alone purple which incinerated him at once. So, no. Mahoraga is not even close to Yuta let alone Gojo. It's sukuna as a 10s user who's able to have such a great strategy. All credit is to Sukuna not Mahoraga

He also adapted to blue and red for which it wasn't affecting him as much as it was affecting sukuna. And in ch 235 mahoraga sliced gojos arm off while he had his infinity on. And yeah i agree that mahoraga alone is not enough for top tier characters cuz they can one shot him before he can adapt. And sukuna as 10s user is much more potent than any 10s user as we saw in manga. So if mahoraga did survive the last hollow purple from gojo if maybe sukuna hide it in the shadows again, then yeah gojo was screwed.
Mahoraga almost killed Megumi and Haruta if Sukuna didn’t arrive. Mahoraga also killed 2 previous users of 6eyes/limitless from Gojoclan and 10shadows from Zeninclan. Sukuna is the only one who actually tamed this monster
A bit of explonation on sukuna, his technique is slicing but in 2 ways: dismantle as his main way, and cleave as his way with stronger people. He uses dismantle on people with no cursed energy or normal things that are not alive, and cleave is used for people with cursed energy. His domain also follows that rule, it uses dismantle on EVERYTHING, the things, the animals, the buildings, while cleave is used for people with cursed energy, like humans and sorcerers. His fuga, no one knows... It's still a mystery.
megumi definitely can't tame this shikigami, he knows he's dying anyway, he summoned it to make sure this ponytail die with him
Personally, I believe Mahoraga is a Ten Shadows user’s accessory being that none have been able to subjugate it. Like yeah, I’m gonna die but you’re going down with me. Mahoraga will adapt to anything and everything thrown at it so unless something wipes it out quickly, it’ll probably end up killing whatever is in the ritual with it.
It CAN be beaten, as was seen here. It’s just that the Ten Shadows technique is more about attacking en masse rather than one major discharge of power like someone such as Sukuna or Gojo or even Yuta (an absolute cursed energy monster) are capable of releasing to knock it out before it fully adapts to them.
Never heard so many misinterpretations in one video...
- No Megumi is not stronger than the Shikigami, otherwise he would be subdued, what Megumi himself said he is NOT
- Sukuna's technique is and was clear except for a few unknown aspects? Also confirmed by Sukuna and Jogo in the previous video
- Can Sukuna change materials? Who knows, he certainly didn't do it in the video. XD
The tenth shadows ability is as its attacked by a curse technique the wheel on its head turns. With each turn the technique becomes less and less effective. After it completes a full turn the technique will no longer work on it. It also has sword arms that generate reverse curse energy. This is lethal to curses. It also has rapid healing powers. Sukunas technique is still unknown, slash and cleave are applications of it. To unleash his fire attack he has to chant "open."
i heard that this episode was only 30% done so imagine what it couldve been if Mappa had good conditions for their animators. Hopefully they start delaying episodes so everyone working gets a break

To summarize, the sukuna technique is fillet and dissect. But when he says "open" he gets a flame technique. And in the manga when he says that there is a little black box in a corner of the page, but we don't know what it is. (I remind you that this is not a spoiler because it is said in the anime but it is a little poorly explained.) But anyway it's was a good video so good luck for the rest.
Sukuna isn’t a cursed spirit, he’s actually a human. that’s why the sword didn’t instantly kill him. And no megumi can’t tame that, it’s why he almost died the moment he summoned it. So even with mahoraga megumi is still weaker than the top sorcerers like the special grades. The 4 special grade sorcerers are heavy counters to mahoraga and could definitely beat it if they had to
We have brain taking over geto's body with his technique, during his talk with the twins it was proven he's not a curse plus that "for a modern sorcerer" dig at mei mei solidifies it. Sukuna also isn't a curse which was explained/mentioned multiple times since episode 2 he traversed the ages by turning himself into a cursed object. Uraume presumably his servant is definitely a sorcerer, it's not far fetched since we have 2 sorcerers who are old af in the modern age why can't uraume do that too.
Uraume isn't a curse. Megumi can't subject Makora, as no one bar Sukuna had ever been able to do so. Megumi simply summoned it as an ace in the hole. A last resort. He isn't anywhere near as strong as Yuta or Gojo.
To be clear megumi has no chance against Mahoraga and uses him as a way to guarantee his opponents death if he is going to die. He did the same thing many times in season 1
Hello, look Megumi cannot be stronger than Gojo or Yuuta, any Special Grade Sorcerer can ONE SHOTS Makora/Mahoraga, All special grades are amazing not only because of their cursed technique, but also because of their combat capabilities,
A special grade is someone capable of destroying an entire country alone, so Yuuta, Gojo, Geto and other special grade Sorcerer's ARE NO JOKE, plus Megumi himself says that in the entire history of users of the 10 shadows technique, NONE HAS BEEN ABLE TO EXORCISE MAKORA/MAHORAGA, so no, no chance, what they IMPLY is that HIS INHERITED TECHNIQUE has absurdly good potential, but only if Megumi were able to defeat Makora, but he is not able.Personally, I do not see a feasible scenario where Megumi exorcises Mahoraga/Makora, since it must be taken into account that for the ritual to be effective, it must be 1vs1 WITHOUT EXTERNAL HELP, If not, Gojo would have already exorcised for him
Megumi can summon him whenever he wants, but he will never listen to him if he doesn't exorcise him first, That's why it's his suicide trumpcard, plus he says it himself, when Gojo suggests that..... "That ..(having the 10 shadows) doesn't mean I can be a sorcerer capable of defeating you."

Basically, "Dismantle" (Dissect) cuts anything that doesn't have cursed energy, while "Cleave" (Fillet) cuts anything that has cursed energy and adapts to the target's toughness (kinda like a built in armor penetration)
Also most Domain ignores anything that has no cursed energy... Buildings, Plants, and Toji are immune to Domain's sure hit and can never be caught unless they enter it when its fully Expanded.
Sukuna's Domain on the other hand has no barrier, so it doesn't "catch" its target but rather it brings his Domain to his target... and Adding the Dismantle to his sure hit makes it so he hits anything and everything within the 200 Meter radius.
The only one I could think of that could be as destructive would be Jogo's Domain, since it manifest a literal insides of a volcano and if that comes out into the real world, it will incinerate everything automatically.
Yuji wants to redeem himself for what hes done because technically he is really a murderer no matter how you look at it. He knew the stakes of containing such a monster inside of him but was told by gojo he could do it.
Megumi definitely can't subjugate it. Following his help against Dagon, then tanking Toji for a bit, he has next to no strength left in him. He summons Mahoraga as like a suicidal hail mary. And I think earlier when Megumi was talking with Gojo, the story makes it sound like the last one standing wasn't either Zenin or Satorou, but Mahoraga.

Sukuna Technique is a combo of two main attacks: “Cleave” and “Dismantle.”
“Dismantle” is a slicing attack that cuts through inanimate objects, but is very effective when used against Sorcerers and Cursed Spirits
“Cleave” is a slash attack that adjust its effectiveness to his opponents toughness and cursed energy. This adjustment is done automatically, and can pulverize or cut down any target.
megumi cant tame mahogra he can only summon it at his current level. The ten shadows technique works by giving the user 2 divine dogs then the user can gain another 9 shadows. To gain control of each shadow the user has to kill it in a subjugation ritural, however if someone else joins the ritural the ritural is invalid for taming the shadow. It still has a technique though as it can be used to trap the other user in the ritural. Basically a suicide technique, looking back to the talk gojo has with megumi in the finale of the last season about not doing that (killing yourself to win). Gojo is basically saying that megumi can be as strong as him but megumi says he can not he basically says the past users of his technique also just summond mahogra he didnt tame him then use him.
sukuna has 2 techinqies one is simpy just cutting things ( this is broken down into 2 slashes, fillet and dissect. one for targets with cursed energy (curses and socereres) and one for targets with no cursed energy (normal people and objects) The second one also does reduced damage to cursed energy targets .) he does not control matter he just cuts things up simply. The other techiqnue is unknown but we see him use it when he says fuga and uses fire, no more detail has been told to us yet.
Mahogra can adapt to any technique/ situation such as water when its drowned (grows gills) and also either of Sukunas slashes. When sukuna uses his domain exansion mahogra adapts to fillet only first so is taking damage from disect . However eventually adapts to slashes in general so the domain does no damage due to the regeration. Therefore sukuna has to use fuga to use fire to finish him off. Basically making it a severly close fight, think of it like a timed damage on a boss. If he dosen't do damage in enough time then his attacks become useless. Sukunas domain is split into 2 attacks with only one being adapted to at first but then both are adpated to so a third technique (fire) has to be used. (just to say its likely the third technique is likely more then just fire (eg. copying or something more advanced) but for this fight just think of it as fire and it works)
The main points are that sukuna does not control matter since that would be just busted and megumi isn't able to subjugate mahogra as he would then be sukuna level which he isn't. It's kinda like if i blow myself up with my oppenent its not the same as actually defeating them in a fight.
No one can subjugate mahoraga that's why its a suicidal move by megumi as you saw already that shikigami knocked him out
megumi can summon mahoraga but he can't command him like his wolfs like he said no one in history could ever tame mahoraga and most of them used it in a do or die situation like he did this episode.

Some things to clear up…no spoilers here as this is just stuff either you may have missed or things the anime never elaborated fully on whereas the manga did for these moments.
Summoning Makora is something anyone with the 10 Shadows Technique can do. You have to SUBJUGATE it by beating it. Megumi never subjugated it nor has anyone. It can be summoned whenever for the purpose of subjugation which Megumi used to his advantage by forcing Haruta in the ritual with him meaning Makora either had to be tamed/beaten by them or it would kill Megumi and Haruta then disappear. Since he knew nobody could beat it, he summoned it as a suicide play. Megumi even after Sukuna killed it, still wont be able to use it as doing the ritual with multiple people involved makes it null and void anyways.
It also doesn’t mean Megumi himself is that strong as he states himself that just because he has the technique, doesn’t mean HE can be as strong as Gojo
The old Gojo Clan head and the Zenin clan head fought and as a last ditch effort the Zenin clan leader summoned Makora in the same manner as Megumi being that of a suicide play. Makora killed both the Zenin head and the Gojo head. Megumi brings this up right after the quick flashback of his conversation with Gojo stating “I bet the Zenin clan head used it in a similar manner”.
Another thing to mention is that Uraume and Sukuna are not curse spirits. They are human sorcerers. Sukuna was just brought back via his fingers being cursed objects that could bring him back, this was explained in Season 1
Finally, Sukuna’s cursed technique is indeed the slice things apart. The fire ability he has however is what he used against Jogo last week and is another ability he has that is unknown to the audience still. But all in all just keep in mind his main technique is just to slice things up.
mahoraga is pretty much a self destruct button for megumi when he knows hes gonna lose n die, theres no way in hell he can subjugate that op thing
So gojo said all that because megumi has mahoraga in his arsenal. Megumi himself isn't THAT strong. The way his 10 shadows works is Megumi has to 1v1 it in that type of ritual. All the ritual is really is a 1v1 but he can use his other shikigami to help. If it's anything but a 1v1 even if mahoraga is killed it won't count as subjugation and it'll be all for nothing lol

tl;dr: Ten Shadows is like pokemon, you gotta beat them before you can use them but you can summon them without subjugation and they'll attack you too

Sukuna isn't a curse spirit either. He has never been a curse spirit. He was a sorcerer that turned himself into cursed objects. That sword would erase Jogo with one hit, because he is a curse spirit.
Cleave and Dismantle are his techniques, also there is the box he opens.
Megumi cant subjugate it. Thats why he uses it as a final trump card to fuck anyone over lmao. He states as well that not any other user of the technique from the past could tame mahoraga.
Farah really watched 15 fingers sukuna level shibuya to defeat makora and said "yeah megumi can tame that" lol megumi is my goat but wtf is he gonna do to a shikigami that adapts to anything and everything...with what fire power can he one shot it to tame it? Makora will adapt to all his available shikigamis and then megumi is done for 😅, only 2 that can beat makora as far as we know are sukuna and gojo (even tho it has previously killed a gojo clan leader with the six eyes/limitless) the top 2 of the verse.
The only 30% complete thing was a lie, an the animator came out an apologised for the mis-information so this episode is a complete product. Besides this is episode is done by the hakuyu go team. The production issues might be shown more in episode 18 though.

@@danilka523 скорее всего я просто не допонял её, про огни и в манге особо не освещали, слышал только от Rabashi, что огни были в хранилище техник, которые он заполучил в ходе сражений тысячелетие назад.

Mahoraga is definetely OP. That`s why Sukuna wants megumi so bad, he wants those techniques for himself. Also side note: Yuta is OP as well, next arc he will wipe the floor with a bunch of curses and curse users in the culling games

Y'know, its very likely that Sukuna acknowledging Jogo is a figment of Jogo's imagination. The reason why I say this is specifically because Sukuna states that "in order to reach the heights of Gojo Satoru, Jogo should have sacrificed everything for that sake." This statement implies that Gojo can be looked at as the pinnacle of sorcery. The problem is, Sukuna would never say something like that.
To acknowledge anyone else except himself as the pinnacle seems very out of character for Sukuna, especially considering the way he's depicted in the story.

Megumi cant tame Mahoraga, Clearly took Sukuna fair bit to actually destroy Mahoraga so nah Megumis got no chance, Only way he can tame it is if he himself takes it down without any help…
However as Megumi said he can still Summon Mahoraga Whenever* he please for the sole purpose of taming it, But he just cant control it, So yeah hes got Mahoraga he can bring out whenever but its a bad idea, Bringing it out to take on a Villain either Villain wins and kills Megumi after or Mahoraga wins and kills Megumi after, But we can see with certainty that theres least 1 being of dropping Mahoraga, And hes got plans for Megumi!!
No spoilers: Sukuna's default curse technique is cleave and dismantle (ie severing and slicing) but in addition to that, he has multiple techniques which he can use if he opens the 'box' he stores his other techniques. That's why before using the fire arrow you hear him say 'open'. Sukuna has slicing technique ,fire and lightning techniques as well as an unknown fourth technique. He's a God😂
