I could go on and on with this one. Lol, but keeping it short....I grew up there in the 80s, almost all of North and Northeast Porltand were predominantly black or at least mixed race neighborhoods, to the point of having obvious black culture. Not like now, where you really have to hunt for it. However, gentrification happened, big time! Again, although I'm white, I grew up hanging out in those neighborhoods. It's TOTALLY changed now. I suppose of course there are some remnants or even new cultural developments like you mentioned. It's so interesting for me to have lived there back then and see it now. That black owed wine bar looks so cool. I'll definitely check that out. Glad you enjoyed your visit and I give you both 5 stars for being so open minded and checking out all these places! Yay for you!!🤗

Great Episode; filming, review, historical perspective, and narration. We will most definitely be visiting these places next time we're down for a Duck game!

The my people’s market happened the same weekend I visited! Really wish I had made it out there. Thanks for the video and great recommendations ❤️ Please try out Deadstock Cofee next time you’re in PDX, a black owned hip hop themed coffeehouse

If you are back in Oregon and have the time check out the Three Sisters Wilderness (three mountains next to each other)... or Mt. Hood, tallest mt in Oregon. And if you want to dive into deep end of the outdoors, and have lots of time and money to purchase tent/backpack/food you can hike all the way around Mt. Hood. However, this is a very tough hike multiple days/nights. But great views. I did it while traveling while white lol...
