    Sold mine 3 years ago. I was at peace with it for a while, no regrets. Lately, the sellers remorse is finally setting in. Lost buyer’s contact info. The lesson learned is this…1)only buy bikes you could envision yourself keeping forever. 2) keep said bikes forever. Hold strong.

      @@weasel698 I couldn’t give the damn thing away 3 years ago on Marketplace (pre-Covid) Barely any interest in it. It was a solid 7/10 rider with 8K miles and fresh motor from reputable Yamaha dealership. I got a measly $4 grand and a broken heart! Also strangely, nobody ever complimented the bike or knew what the hell it was, so the pride factor lessened during the ownership experience. Especially when the only place to meet riders was a Harley infested bike night.

      had one my whole life. "it was dad's" they do sound nice. Mine is stock with only a toomey racing kit (reeds, pipes, intake boot/filter, jets) and it will lift the front wheel easily. just don't be a 'larger' rider. be a small dude at about 130-140 pounds and you will be just fine.

    • @sonnyseabury4051
      @sonnyseabury4051 Год назад

      @@machrider2333 I wound up buying it. I'm 210 lbs, and the front wheel still comes up easy, without playing with the clutch. Still getting the feeling for it, feeling it out. I'm too smart to allow myself to lose respect for the bike. Don't want it to bite me on the ass. Couple weeks of riding time, I'll be where I need to be. Nice talking to you brother.

That powerband was a force to be reckoned with. Got away from me twice resulting in broken wrists both times catching myself on asphalt at the very end of first gear when power comes on quick, very quick. It’ll bite ya but fun as hell.

The biggest gain was the milling of the head though. Motor had quench designed in but not used because of emissions. The milling restored quench, ran cooler, started easier, significant power increase too.

    I knew the day one of these showed up in chad thompsons motorsports showroom this bike was on its way to become another icon of all time of timeless machines that were built dedicating the lastest performance technology that remains as the textbook to the future of beauty and function ...awha i just heard you give up the type and brand of the two stoke oil you are running in this little horsepower monster ...im old school and you are not surprising or hiding any go fast info from me , but only impressing me with your knowledge of the right stuff to get the best or the best out of the best there is as we used say that still stands ...its cubic dollars verses pounds of fun ...a few years back i ventured off on the tail of the dragon and when i got to deals gap the entire two stroke street bike club of america was having their annual get together ride and one of their resting spots was deals gap that they had reserved all the accomodations that was a treat for me as the entire parking lot was equiped with every two stroke motorcycle from the '60 when as a 13 year old to the days at mid-ohio watching 5 of these yellow kenny roberts signature buzz bombs getting air off the last drop off into the bottoms of mid-ohio ... And the announcer is screaming " you could throw a blanket over the leaders as s they as are taking to the air at 140 entering the bottoms here at mid-ohio ...cant remember the occasion or the date but it was back when these little buzz bombs were impressing everyone who seeing there performance for the first time ...and then to see them at deals gap turning back they hands of time live right there in all their glory in about 2019 as there were only a hand full looking like they came out of their dealer shipping crates the day before ...like look at you today and what is it about that seems like you are following a script of my life's passion and taste for the same motorcycles ...and a lot of what i see you giving your heart and soul and respect for are motorcycles of back when i was in high school and took everything for granite not caring about the future of what we had or owned ....and now as i am about 20 years older than you ...you keep coming up with the icons of the right stuff with the passion in your spirit and personality of the human experience of our history in america that has been our success for the victories of americans representing our freedom of just being free ..,and then here you will come dressed up in a red white and blue cape matching helmet and moto gear ripping a blast from the past frozen in time for eternity as you are the real Kapland America who is the only one deserving of your git up displaying these moments of my life like american pie ...we cant know , understand , how anyone with the resources to do and to make happen these moments today i am witnessing take place that i have stated before of folks i know with the necessary resources are way too conservative to give a shit about anything but today im pulling my question of what the hell happened to you as you are giving away all that you have ever had to those of us to enjoy to the noobs who would never see or understand their heritage of all the involvement this sport has to offer ....to the old timers like me who never thought they would ever see and get to experience again the best days of our lives ....life is good ..and there really is a caped crusader who stepped up to the plate hitting them over the wall for us all ....seemingly without the intentions and being totally selfless you are the Marlon Brando , Peter Fonda Captain America Willey G. Marty Smith , kenny Roberts , Burt Monro , Denis Manning if he built a motorcycle museum ... And your idea of a museum is interactive in the working of a museum like never before .even your own bread and butter business to make everyday ends meet is motorcycle museum history in the making ...just the location and the history of the museum's buildings are museum pieces of their own ...you have never said much about the powerhouse where all the steam was generated that ran the whole compound ...as if you have all the time in the world let me give you another 18 wheeler load of things to do for future ...that powerhouse could be restored to a visual of its original purpose of how this was the beginning of large mass producing manufacturing ...and how iconic suzuki of japan was an industrial textile manufacture that was turned into a motorcycle factory that now your textile factory turned motorcycle museum is now housing japanese icons that would have never been without a person like yourself not afraid to think outside the box ....there you go with another history making video of the suzuki family visits Kapland cycle museum aeeing their products built in a textile factory then preserved as the history of such action now housed in a textile factory covered to the dedication and preservation of motorcycles that were the chosen business to keep the bread and butter on dinner table of people half way around the world now into the history of time as today in hands of people from the computer age working on motorcycles selling and buying historical motorcycles to make ends meet of the history of its history of preserving its history of two completely different means of manufacturing not even closely related two their own beginnings then onward from clothing their countrymen during a needed time doing so ...Then finding themselves in a situation of diversify or die providing needed transportation to those same masses who needed first clothing to go to work and then a way to there now moralized in the textile factory that was the Blueprints for all mass production of textiles destroyed by war between the countries involved in such modernisation then for the suzuki family to rise out of the ashes to build yet another unrelated industry badly needed by the same masses and now their products are being preserved in the same buildings where the whole idea of mass production in textiles that made the world wide industrial revolution a real happening in every branch of mass manufacturing possible ...yes there is the reason the powerhouse needs to be displayed its upmost importance of how technology feeds the development of production to feed the masses now with its own beginnings of its history now housed for all to see and enjoy the memories and the educational value of how its all been done ....with i was in school there were no vcr tapes nor were there any dvds ..but 16mm films called industry on parade to teach us how to keep the needed ideas rolling for common day survival in an ever changing modern world ...that i am now learning is not taught to our youth in schools today ...and now we are paying for the neglect that started 40 years ago , when president Reagan said " let no child be left behind " that was the kids achilles' heel that has lead them to just showing up in a cap and gown on graduation day a grab a piece of paper giving them authorization to apply for an application for employment at McDonald's ...when i geaduated from an associated college division of the university of illinois i got a hand shake as all of us were given a speech congratulating all that now we have the tools to begin our education , that is exactly what all your years of elementary junior high ,high school and then college to university is all about ..then comes trade schools updating the updates ..and then eventually your education is as complete as it can ever get which just so happens to be your last day of life will be the day you start learning nothing at all or ever again that the few today seem to be on it with statements like do it now cause you're going to be dead for a very long time ..but todays school kids already have one foot in the grave with the singularity attitude they cant wait till all the so called schooling period of their lives is over suggesting they believe they

      Donnie you're the 1st person who has mentioned anything about the powerhouse the actual original steam engine which is a single piston monster is still complete and intact and I believe could be started again it's in the giant powerhouse smokestack building. I also didn't know that the Suzuki factory was Built-in a textile factory that's pretty cool. Thank you for all the positive feedback I really appreciate it have a fantastic day.

    Had one just like that in 1984! The stock pipes had more bottom end up to 110 mph wheelie city.

    I used to love the Kawi 2 strokes of the early 70s, Yamaha took it to the next level.Their bikes were safer & better handling.The first reed valve 6 speed was I think the 73.Red w/ white,I loved that bike,this is a newer version & slightly improved.

    Nice! I had two of the KRR. First was stone stock, the second was tastefully modified with some different reeds, Toomey pipes, cooler seat cover, SS braided brake lines, Fox shock, sticky tires and re-valved forks. It would wheelie by power alone in 1st. They are like riding a dirt bike on the street, don't you think? We only got them in 84 and 85 in the States.... bummer!
