Chris Tomlin could sing the Immigrant Song and I would cry. He proves that the simplest of songs played with passion are the best. I Will Rise, one of his best.
hey ,if anyone else wants to learn about christian guitar lessons online try Tarbetti Worship Music Tutor (just google it ) ? Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my brother in law got excellent results with it.
Thank you so much for this tutorial! My daddy was recently diagnosed with cancer (please keep him and us in prayer, if you would) and this song has been deeply ministering to my mom -- it's like a life preserver to a drowning person. I really appreciate the care you took to make this so simple!
interesting points ,if anyone else wants to learn about christian guitar video lessons try Tarbetti Worship Music Tutor (just google it ) ? Ive heard some decent things about it and my mate got cool results with it.
Lord God, i pray for Michelle's father right now and ask that You would work a miracle in their lives and give him Your healing, Lord. I can't imagine how difficult this situation must be for them, so i just want to lift them up and ask You to comfort them in this time, keep them faithful and hopeful in You, give them Your healing, and no matter what, let Your Name be praised. In Jesus' name, amen.
I'm normally an Electric Player..... but there is those weekends that the Lord Calls, Almost every time there is one or two songs ether i haven;t heard or never played. So thank you for binging so Thoughtful and Godly you have a Calling Brother :-) May Bless your path
If you guys really want to get the version like Chris Tomlin's, here's a trick: capo the 2nd fret, but leave the high E string (thinnest one) open. Play the top two strings of the G chord the same way using your middle and ring fingers, and use your index and pinky fingers to hit the B string sustained sounds, leaving the high E string open. An easy way to hit the recording's notes without having to mute strings or change chord positions. Thanks for all you do Brian!
I appreciate so much the teaching style you use, the chords being visible on the screen, and that you make learning these worship songs easy. The Lord bless you and your family!
Great tutorial, we've had this song on our list to play in our praise band. I found your tutorial and was very quick to learn. Today we played it in our service and it went great! Thanks again!
dude thank you. These are manageable cords I already know. I am going to study this and make it the first worship song I can do! I am motivated thank you.
Thank you so much Brian, these lessons have turned my dream into a reality. I can now play, thanx to your worship tutorial, God bless you, your lessons are easy to follow.
Such a good insight on the Father aspect. Corporate worship is so important and can get to the heart of what the body should be doing. I love the relationship you bring to the leading and worshiping "feel" of the song. The dynamics can play such a huge part of the corporate worship. Love the content! Great work! God Bless!!!
Hey man I love how you expanded this video with your own personal experience and congratulations on your little man I was really moved by the end and I love to hear about the absolute brilliance of everyday life that or father has given us thanks for the lesson and I know God has, does, and continues to bless you.
can't wait to try this out, I'm trying to learn guitar and Good good father is one of my favorite worship songs. This will probably be the one I want to learn first, thank you so much for sharing that and God bless.
It looks like it goes from the G with the A string muted to GSus. Then remove index from the sus and pinky from the high E string G note and place pinky on the D of second string third fret. Play that G shape and then back to a standard G if that makes any sense at all. Not sure what the chord would be but I see you play it that way when you start singing. The C in the verse is a C2 with the D string muted first time around. It's also an Am7 instead of Am, and the D is played in the C shape but slide it down from fret 1 to 3. That is the Housefires version anyway. I'm sure Chris Tomlin does it a little different. I kinda like hammering on the Gsus too. It works the way you have it too though. Kinda hard to explain without a visual. Intro & Verse: G with A string muted, Gsus, Other G shape Pre-chorus: C2 (mute D string), G/B, Am7, D played in C shape on third fret Chorus: On the video I saw he played a C major, G major, Am7 and D played in C major shape on third fret
Could you help with the fingering of Gsus chord? I'm 13 years old and my fingers aren't big enough reach the second string first fret😢😢 Please help me!! Thanks a lot!
Try this one: X2OOO3 o= open. so you don't put your finger on the string; while, 'x' means you try not to play it (try and make the edge of your middle finger touch the low E string if you can) Let me know if I can help more!!!
I think you can choose a better chord instead of A minor for the second "it's who you are". I have heard Casting Crowns's cover. I don't know what chord they used for it, but that sounded good.
Hello sir, accept warm greetings from me. Am knew with guitar and while searching I found your channel interesting to me and the way you teach is so nice. Please can you help me out with the others chords I just started with D chord.
I personally like to go from the G to the Gsus and then lift my index finger all in that phrase at the beginning, I'm pretty sure that's how it sounds on the recording
Thank you so much for this! 🙏 It was very helpful! 👍By the way, before texring I looked at how many subscribers you had and it showed 666k. Pretty ironic and spooky! 🤣

my son love this song I am going to show him your video and see if he can do this.
It looks like it goes from the G with the A string muted to GSus. Then remove index from the sus and pinky from the high E string G note and place pinky on the D of second string third fret. Intro & Verse: G with A string muted, Gsus, Other G shape
Pre-chorus: C2 (mute D string), G/B, Am7, D played in C shape on third fret
Chorus: On the video I saw he played a C major, G major, Am7 and D played in C major shape on third fret
xtremekustomz1 yes you are correct. the sus resolves. otherwise you are singing the major third against the sus 4 and that’s bad.
I love good good father
Brian, I hope you read this today. Can you do more of this.

Try this one:
X2OOO3
o= open. so you don't put your finger on the string; while, 'x' means you try not to play it (try and make the edge of your middle finger touch the low E string if you can)
Let me know if I can help more!!!
Thanks a lot!!
