I use isotunes when I'm turning turkey calls on the lathe. The ones I use are for protection not amplification. I love them . Bought another pair for my wife to use while cutting grass and she loves them too. Ps she loves cutting grass so it's a win win for me

I have not had much luck with "hearing protection" because I work and shoot in the desert, usually over 110F, so inserts are really the only option and those have been limited to passive. The options of these isotunes sport caliber will hopefully open up new possibilities.

HI JC, I too have the Silencer version, not Bluetooth, but they are the Walker earbud. Did you get the ISO buds and how do you like them compared to the Walkers? I think the Walkers amplify too much. I actually find the Walkers hurt my ears when I pull the trigger, and this is over the course of a 100 target sporting clays course.

I used the walker game ear muffs and it was the same. Direction and distance I couldn’t tell. Some distance way off yes but when the birds were getting closing in eventually it’s the same volume and they will pop up and surprise you. Direction is not happening at all.

I haven’t yet but we’ve done shotguns and handguns so far it’s been pleasant, I do think the 6-8x amplification is really loud but I also don’t have hearing loss so for those with more damaged hearing it could be perfect
I usually hunted and operated with them around 3-5x amplification

My grandson and I were just talking about hearing protection...especially in a duck blind standing right next to other hunters. As you do these reviews, please let us know if they have a locating feature like Apple Airpods...just in case you drop one. I contacted isotunes and they do not offer that feature.

  • @budzo100

Howdy BCO. Great video. Currently I have the Walker earbuds. And I'm really interested in this ISOtunes version, as I find the Walker earbuds actually amplify sounds, even on the lowest setting. I'm a competitive shotgunner and have used hearing protection a great deal. But I'm really wanting to use an ear bud for convenience, and understanding that the little bones behind your ears also need protection, I get that part. But wearing of any kind of hat, Western hat, anything like that with ear MUFFS, does not lend well to staying on your head other than a Ball cap. So my question is, How well does the ISO ear bud compare to the Walker Ear bud in way of shutting down the report of the gun?

Check out the axil g extreme 2.0’s as well just got them and I’m in love with them!

@@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA I have the Axil 2.0. They are great, don't really Cancel gunshot report, just plug it off, but I find that the cord between the two. Gets stuck in my shirt collar. That's the draw back I find. ISOtunes arrived and seem to work nicely. Tested them by smacking a sea can container here at the yard. Seem to block out all extreme noise for sure.

Has anyone thought about how long the batteries in these (or any rechargeable) last? I'm tired of buying expensive cell phones only to need to replace the phone because the battery wears out just when I'm done paying for it. The lithium batteries in these would also have a set service life, yes? I don't want to have to buy new earbuds every two-three years. The Ear Pros have a replaceable battery so that wouldn't be an issue? I dunno, maybe I'm overthinking it....

These are the WORST ear pro I have ever used. In ear and over ear. They hurt your ears BAD. No matter what tip you use. The “Tactical sound control” is a damn joke. Anything over a whisper and they shut off. If you’re planing on using these for anything other than sitting in the quiet and hearing ambient noise do not waste your money. Use them at a shooting competition and they essentially become foam ear plugs that are extremely uncomfortable. I RO’d two shooters before getting my over ears and gave these away.
