I bought these headphones just a little while ago and they are 10/10. Sure my daughter will ask me "Can we eat today?" or "When are we moving into a house daddy?" but then i just put these headphones on and and i never hear her complain after that so she must be happy. 10/10 must have.

Bought these a while back when I had both kidneys. They're so good, I literally heard the angels singing while I was laying in the hospital bed. Too bad I didn't get to bring them along to where I am now, watching this Lew guy unboxing Pandora's Boxes everyday.
I had a set of planar computer speakers from Monsoon that were an order of magnitude better than any speaker I had ever heard, computer or otherwise. Music, games what have you sounded like "the veil had been lifted", but only in the very narrow sweet spot they created, so not practical for 2 channel. Then they sold out to a large electronics manufacturer and disappeared. I looked at Magnepans for two channel but even the small ones were freaking huge. So glad to see planar coming back in a great format where the sweet spot is not an issue.
I have Audeze EL-8 (open) with Sony PHA-3 and it is something unbelievable. This iSine has the same type of planar speakers inside, so I believe they sounds amazing too.
If your curious what planar magnetic headphones are like... I would really recommend checking out The Fostex T50RP Mk3.... I own the MK2 version and am absolutely in love with them. The version 3 (Mk3) are a step better then the version 2... I have heard them, just don't own them.
If you can fork out $200 The best planars for $200 and probably the best for $200 period are the Monoprice Monolith M560. Full Metal and wood construction and It comes with a really nice carrying case. The sound has been compared to that of Audeze. Not quite as good but damn near. And if you can spend $300 the Monoprice Monolith M1060 Have sound that is Competing head to head with Audeze a couple reviews say they are better than the LCD-2
+Whatguy1 OK well I first want to say I am by no means and expert... just a guy who loves to listen to music properly. OK with that out of the way I will offer my personal impressions of the three different headphones, however over all they are all wonderful and even better since they are about $150, but they do need a good amp to run them... about 2000mv. I use the Fiio E07K Andes USB DAC and Portable Headphone Amplifier. OK the individual impressions: 1] Fostex T20RP Mk3 has an open housing which lends to a nice deep dynamic range. Deep full punchy bass with warm mids and nice clean clear highs. I would call them warm where the emphasis leans towards the bass. 2] Fostex T40RP Mk3 has a closed housing, with tight bass and bright highs. I would say the emphasis leans towards the Mids and Highs, where the bass is there but more as a back up player, then front and center like it is on the T20RP. 3] Fostex T50RP Mk3 has a Semi-open housing which offers a balanced tone overall. I would refer to these headphones as Studio Monitors, since they do not add anything to the music. These offer the best "Flat" EQ of the three models. Where the Bass, Mids, and Highs are all there and none stand out above the others, and are not over shadowed either. Personal preference will dictate which ones you will like the most. Since everyone hears things differently, which is why Fostex offers the three different models.
There are hundreds of IEMs in this price range. Instead of providing any objective or even subjective comparison (e.g. frequency response, build quality, aesthetics, comfort), all you did was make people aware these exist?..... It's not an unboxing, it's not a review, it's not a comparison with other products? I'm not understanding of how this content provides value to a casual listener or audiophile? It's just you bobbing your head for 3 minutes.
Russian5 true that. for 600bucks you'll get even some custom made iem( not including the costs for your ears footprints) from the lower price line up which will definitely destroy this low tec dynamic driver buds...
Rusko Ranchet Umm, I don't know if you know Audeze at all from hearing what you're saying, but they are one of the pioneers in planar magnetic technology in headphones. They are the first to introduce the technology on "earbuds" form factor. I personally own Audeze Sine, and they sound very nice, detailed high and mid. Although it lacks bass and emphasises high which may sound analytical to some people, for me, it's a perfect pair of portable headphones. Audeze's LCD lines are praised among Head-Fi community and you can find them on Innerfidelity as well.
Alex Tae Wan Kim with low tec i meant the technology of using a dynamic driver. Most high end iems today are making use of balanced armature technology or a combination of both driver technologies.
Picked the 20’s up for $400 used but in actuality we’re returned new. They’re just mind blowing. One strong suggestion: replace the ear hooks, tips, and cable with the newest generation. The first generation - which is represented in this review - totally let the actual units down. It cost another $110 to get the updated version but rectifies this perfectly. Also, buy the Zoom small universal case to put these in. They have an egg crate foam inserts that allow the units to nestle in them with enough room for the cable and DAC to sit around them and not kink. Plus it’s just a beautiful box worthy of this premium product.
Watching these with my ear buds I got from the dollar store....that also came with a certificate of authenticity...meaning only one side works and their all tangled up .
iSINE 20 were amazing IF I used their DSP app to tone down their upper bass - heard them at Rocky Mountain Audio Fest with the lighting cable DAC/amp. I like that I can hear outside noises so it's not dangerous to walk around outside with them on.
In my opinion, the Audeze isn't so far off the Shure's. But the thing is that the Audeze's are pretty uncomfortable to wear for a long time because of the way the earbuds are made. They hit my ear cartilage and because of that, my ears get a bit sore after using them for a while. So I think if you have the money to afford the Shure 846s, I would get that one just because of the more comfortable fit.
I have to be honest, I am not a fan of yours. However, when you said,"THICK!!! THE THICKNESS!!! Along with the emotional expression got me to purchase this set! Thanks!
The sincerity of your enthusiasm shows comes through, unlike other tech reviewers that seem "artificial", then again they dont really get to "play with/test" cool stuff.
Not to detract from the quality of these buds, but an equalizer can drastically distort a users perception of output sound quality. By that I mean if you adjust the EQ until the sound is "pleasing" to you, then how do you know if it is the buds quality, or the EQ adjustment?
"If you are in to music you will make this sacrifice (300$ earbuds)" dude I don't pay for Pandora plus why do you think I would pay for 300 to 400 dollar earbuds
I've said it a million times, there is no difference between the lightning port audio and the 3.5 mm jack. The only situation when this is true is when the device your headphones are connected to don't output enough power to run the drivers at their recommended output. As someone studying Audio Engineering, and knowing full well that professional mixing engineers use the best equipment and surprisingly enough they use a 1/4 inch adaptor on a 3.5 mm jack. Companies can make shit up about "oooo we can get a higher kbps bit stream through the lightning port" and holy shit it's a lie. The lightning port is a really cool multi-purpose port but in NO way is it better than the 3.5 mm jack for audio. Anyone that says otherwise needs to do basic research. Edit: Just noticed that the earphones claim they need the extra power from the lightning port and I've never heard such a loud of shit, my Audio Technica ATH-M50X's run perfectly through a headphone jack and they need more power than these overpriced earpods.
I'm sorry for bringing up a dead comment, but your comment made me mad enough that I had to comment. You actually have no idea what you're talking about. You're missing the fucking point, and being an audio engineer does not make you qualified to talk about something like this. This isn't about whether the 3.5 mm jack or lightning port is higher quality or more powerful. The lightning port is digital. It has no inherent audio properties whatsoever. All it sends is raw data, which allows you to bypass the 3.5 mm jack. If I connected an O2+ODAC to the lightning port, are you saying it would inherently be inferior to the 3.5 mm jack? No, because the lightning port has NO bearing on the quality of the signal at all. Neither does the actual physical 3.5 mm jack. The point is that Audeze designed a DAC+AMP specifically for these transducers, to achieve a tuning they feel is the best, rather than rely on the one in the phone, which could vary and thus cause a deviation from the sound. To do this they need the lightning port, because although the 3.5 mm jack technically doesn't affect the audio quality in any way, it doesn't allow you to bypass the phone's hardware, which DOES affect the sound. And professional mixing engineers certainly DO NOT use the best equipment. They use good equipment, but it's nowhere near the best.
kraniumguy the 1/4 jack is superior, there is a reason all instruments use 1/4 Inch. Electric guitars, keyboards, microphones, interfaces, are all 1/4 with the exception of midi, lightning ports would have been converted to mainstream if they were better.
These are planar magnetic. They require more juice than most headphones since you're driving an array of magnets vs 1. For 3.5 vs lightning, the lightning lets them use their own self designed amp/dac getting what they define as the ideal sound, vs 3.5 relies on the amp in what ever device you connect to it. This isn't bs marketing they have a legitimate use for it (also iphones don't have 3.5 anymore, which is why they made this)
huh...kraniumguy? Being an audio engineer does overly-qualify him on this convo, for it is types like him these companies use for advice or a hand in creating the audio hardware thats being made for us to consume. The dude who is gonna tell you if youre getting sold a bag of ish or not is an audio engineer. Hell, many audio engineers on youtube have pointed out how Beats Headphones are garbage compared to higher quality and lesser costing headphones on the market
Yeah I have the 10s, paired with Effect Audio cables and a DAP that can unpack MQA files from Tidal and you got a portable setup that sounds better than a lot of $2000 overear headphones.
They are made in USA. Labor cost plus the amount of research and time that went into designing planar in ear headphones. Audeze is fantastic company when it comes to headphones
These aren't dynamic (The usual) headphones. These are planar magnetic which are always a huge pain and cost to produce them. This is the world's first IN EAR Planar Magnetics headphones. Even the cheapest Planar Magnetic headphone is at least 200$ because it's difficult to produce them. Please do some fucking research before you talk.
Planar drivers are known for producing a notably cleaner and faster bass response compared to traditional dynamic drivers, so it wouldn't be a surprise if the bass on the iSines are cleaner than the 846s.
Alex M except the Se846 use balanced armature drivers instead of normal dynamic speakers. I have the Audeze LCD3s and the se846... both amazing in their own way depending on application.
30mm on earbuds.... Okay you're gonna go deaf. Before these earbuds, Sony made an MDR-90EX earbuds with 16.5mm drivers that was the biggest at the time that delivers low frequency subwoofer bass 20x better than original Skullcandy and 10x better than Beats, JBL, HK, Vmoda, AudioTecnica.... you know the famous brands. What I'm saying is on the sony I could never let the volume pass half or I'm going deaf. Now imagine 30mm crammed so close to your ears !!! 30mm is what the first generation beats solo had ! And those were on ear headphones NOT earbuds lol just saying !!! That's ludicrous ! 30 freaking mm's speakers sealed by an earbud tip inside your ear.... Yeah that's just too much. I'd rather just buy RE DJ speakers with high RMS with a powerful crown amp and hook that shit up in my room and shit that will vibrate my chest BUT at least that shit is not focused in directly to my ear.
Chirko Telhin Okay and you think people who put on drake won't crank it up right ? Those 3min subwoofer songs destroys your hearing. Also I said I keep the vol halfway and it still is loud !
U.SS NCC-1701 I don't think you understand how headphones work. The volume is dependent on the sensitivity of the drivers (represented by ohms). So a headphone with a lower amount of ohms (say 16) is going to be louder at the same volume setting than a headphone with a higher amount of ohms (say 32). Also these don't have standard drivers. They are planar-magnetic drivers which need to be larger to produce a full range of sound, this doesn't affect volume in any way. And if your ears hurt at the halfway volume mark, just turn them down. Not that hard.
Chirko Telhin I know how ohms work. The Apple Earpods are 32 compared to Skullcandy at 16. The reason why is because Skullcandy has 8.5mm drivers, and the Earpod has 13.5mm drivers. This special earbud has 32ohms, but insane 30mm drivers. That is fine but to have it at an earbud level with isolation is gonna make you deaf, and kids don't care, if their favorite jam comes up they will jam out for sure.
Chirko Telhin Just a small correction. Ohms are the impedidence of the headphones. Sensitivity is measured by db. Headphones with 100+ db can be driven by any smartphone. Whereas headphones with 90db sensitivity need some pretty good amping to get good volumes.
Hi! I have a serious doubt..and you can save me from wasting money or help me to do a good purchase. I already have (and enjoy a lot) SE 846 and Senns IE800. Those iSine IEMs (If I can call them IEMs) are better than Se846 at least? I have some HifiMan headphones (full-sized,i-line models, open backed) and they suck compared to SE846 (just my opinion) so I am slowly searching for an upgrade, but not a sidegrade. Thanks in advance (if you actually was able to respond).

Damn I don't think I could pay anymore than 150 for some headphones but those do look cool
If your curious what planar magnetic headphones are like... I would really recommend checking out The Fostex T50RP Mk3.... I own the MK2 version and am absolutely in love with them. The version 3 (Mk3) are a step better then the version 2... I have heard them, just don't own them.
MasterMech77 Have you heard the t40rp and t20rp mk3?
MasterMech77 since u seem to be knowledgeable about earphones which do u recommend? $100 is my budget ??
OK the individual impressions:
1] Fostex T20RP Mk3 has an open housing which lends to a nice deep dynamic range.
It's just you bobbing your head for 3 minutes.
quite niche isn't it? he just opens up stuff and looks at it. i don't think his channel requires any real content to please his fans
And it's unfortunate how many people will base their decision on a product based on his "review"
Jesus Christ even their earbuds look sexy.
Mr Man you bet
but their headphones weigh a TON
I doubt you own a pair if you're just saying that because you think they look bulky on peoples' heads then you disgust me.
Mr Man you look sexy.
Plus it’s just a beautiful box worthy of this premium product.
the background beats you use on your videos are just wow. 👌👌👌
Watching these with my ear buds I got from the dollar store....that also came with a certificate of authenticity...meaning only one side works and their all tangled up .
Lmfao
Have a great day everyone!
thanks dude, so nice from you
this man was bumpin to Eminem
Thanks for the red circle, almost missed it.
iSINE 20 were amazing IF I used their DSP app to tone down their upper bass - heard them at Rocky Mountain Audio Fest with the lighting cable DAC/amp. I like that I can hear outside noises so it's not dangerous to walk around outside with them on.
How do these compare to the $1,000 Shure 846s?
In my opinion, the Audeze isn't so far off the Shure's. But the thing is that the Audeze's are pretty uncomfortable to wear for a long time because of the way the earbuds are made. They hit my ear cartilage and because of that, my ears get a bit sore after using them for a while. So I think if you have the money to afford the Shure 846s, I would get that one just because of the more comfortable fit.
and here I am with my $15 AmazonBasics headphones
name dude at wall-mart they have 30 sports black web earbuds and they sound better than beats (the 30$ earbuds are wireless)
He just got worlds biggest eargasm
I own their LCD2 and love lcdx as well. Interesting for this earbuds!
Just bought some Isine 20’s , can’t wait!
You should test the Skullcandy crusher
The Diamond Gamers lololol u kidding?
I have to be honest, I am not a fan of yours. However, when you said,"THICK!!! THE THICKNESS!!! Along with the emotional expression got me to purchase this set! Thanks!
waiting for the "ew expensive earbuds not worth it lol" type comments
ew expensive earbuds not worth it lol
ew expensive earbuds not worth it lol
ew I would look into on ear headphone at that price point
The sincerity of your enthusiasm shows comes through, unlike other tech reviewers that seem "artificial", then again they dont really get to "play with/test" cool stuff.
Between this and the IE800... Which ones better? My IE800 makes lots of sound from the cables which is annoying at times.
Whose watching this with 10$ earphones?
llohi23 no headphones
llohi23 I'm wearing lightning earphones
llohi23 $115 jaybirds
Adonis same
$99 Bose Sound True 2s
hey unbox theraphy what r u gonna do today?
TODAY IM GONNA BLOW UR MIND
ok...
$600 seriously ?...I love music but jesus 😂
#StephMazing Is a W I couldn't pay that much for headphones 😂Jesus can make that wish invalid 😂
cheap, i'm rocking with se846
Look up the LCDi4 it’s 4 times the price
Thanks for the red circle in the thumbnail, wouldn't of seen it without it
Not to detract from the quality of these buds, but an equalizer can drastically distort a users perception of output sound quality. By that I mean if you adjust the EQ until the sound is "pleasing" to you, then how do you know if it is the buds quality, or the EQ adjustment?
Well, im about to spend 600 dollars
unboxing starts at: 1:57
Faithful video starts at 5:33
The Doctor ends at 0:00
"If you are in to music you will make this sacrifice (300$ earbuds)" dude I don't pay for Pandora plus why do you think I would pay for 300 to 400 dollar earbuds
Taylor Rewitzer you're obviously not very into music then
Taylor Rewitzer
Meanwhile, the complete George Harrison Vinyl box set is still more affordable than these.
MousseTehDog Goes Woof xD
If you are in to music you will have your flac library stored in your phone and backed up!
when you have 2 phones one is for music and the other one is for games and calling people xD
i dont think i couldve seen the earbud without the red circle. thanks!
Ever seen Lew this happy? I don't think so.
Today I'm gonna blow your mind. everyone wear helmets
Warid Farooq rofl
The sound leakage is disgusting.
Ryan Bigguy its the first open back iem (to my knowledge)
Ryan Bigguy It's an open back design. What do you expect?
no, daddy... do i have to...?
yeah but the sound quality of an open back design is much better
They were at MAX volume! They leak about as much as airpods, which is not ABSOLUTELY terrible...
Chay Ell if youre studying audio engineering then you are a fucking joke
You blew my mind with the video audio..10/10
IN EAR MONITOR NOT EARBUDS.
Paul Ji actually these are in ear headphones, it says it on the box. 😱
But it is disrespectful to call them earbuds
These are NOT in ear monitors. These are open back in ear planar headphones. By definition, any IEM is a closed system with strong isolation.
HEADPHONE NOT IN EAR MONITORS.
WRONG
THICC
the THICKNESS hhaah
I put my phone in aeroplane mode, threw it out of the window but it didn't fly! :(
may be it just landed .u must have waited for sometime ... it might definitely take off
Probably because it take a runway for landing an aeroplane.
Just add salt
Hello sir, did you try restarting your device?
You were supposed to jump after it
Lou is the isine 20 worth the extra money over the isine 10? Looking to cop some shortly...
Hey Lew great upload as always, but what happened to your finger??
Hey u yes I go to google extension then download heartbeat it tells you how much money a video made like the comment to save someone life
😂😂😂19 views and 380 LIKES
yash rohra you must be new here.
You know, it probably only costed them $50 at most to make each of them...
Wait just to double check.. u CAN use this with an I phone 7 and up right??!
So are they better than the $1000 Shure's you did a while back??
"this is the most and cleanest bass I've ever heard on an earbud"
He does know he tested Sure SE846, right?
MCMilesMesser These are much better than anything Shure has put out
Planar drivers are known for producing a notably cleaner and faster bass response compared to traditional dynamic drivers, so it wouldn't be a surprise if the bass on the iSines are cleaner than the 846s.
These are indeed better than Shure's SE846, it's the tech they use to achieve the audio. It's just superior.
U.SS NCC-1701 You know volume buttons exist... right?
Whereas headphones with 90db sensitivity need some pretty good amping to get good volumes.
first
skrt skrt
cause these comments are cancerous dont you see. They're everywhere
@stuffHub how's your channel going, 2 views isn't bad you know
StuffHub You are the reason RUclips comment sections are cancer. Please, can you kindly fuck off?
Hox Fox the fact that you're first makes you realize you have no life cause you're on your phone all the time, kinda sad.
I'd like to get your opinion on the Bem wireless earbuds. Or possibly an unboxing? Btw your videos are awesome. Keep up the good work!
I might have to try these sometime! The best headphones I've tried as far as heavy bass go is the new Pump Audio Mix Wireless
I love magnaplanar speakers so to see earbuds that utilizes this technology blows my mind
why does the show relax me so much
Thanks in advance (if you actually was able to respond).
compare the $600 with shure $1000. which one is better?
I love my RHA T20 but I really would like to experience these earphones. Especially for being a open design.
always excited to watch your videos. i like your content because its original and different from others.
Those earphones are good for Tidal?? I use a iPhone 7
are these better than the $1000 shure headphones?
Any difference between using lighting and jack?
Are these open-back earbuds?
