With all due respect to Duran but they put (No mas) .....a quitter on the list of top ten and didn't even have the Hitman Hearns who beat the hell outta Duran on the honorable mention list ???
Lennox to smh. There's quiet a few they left of such as Aaron "Hawk" Pryor as well ijs. Both of those guys were complete destroyers & mythical monster killerz fax!!
1. Harry Greb 2. Sugar Ray Robinson 3. Henry Armstrong 4. Joe Louis 5. Sam Langford 6. Joe Gans Benny Leonard (tie) 8. Muhammad Ali 9. Rocky Marciano 10. Jimmy Wilde
I have boxed for years now. And I loved the sport for many years prior to that. I am 54 years old and I bring a young guy to the gym with me to train. He is a great kid. He idolizes Floyd. I agree Floyd is an alltime great. He said "who beats Floyd!?" I said at 135 Roberto Duran. I told him about Duran and he watched some RUclips fights but disagreed on Duran's dominance. I feel Duran KO's Floyd at lightweight. I stand by this. Duran was DIFFERENT at lightweight! The best ever! I also told him that if Floyd fought in the 1980's he wouldnt have been undefeated. Hearns KO's Floyd at Welterweight. I think Ray Leonard beats him at Welterweight. Wilfred Benitez gives him LOTS of trouble. He will not give older fighters credit feeling they were inferior in skill. I told him about Henry Armstrong as well. He thinks they fought bums. I said that basketball and UFC have robbed us of more great fighters today. Boxing used to be a way out of the ghetto. Now basketball has taken some of those fighters away from the game. Same thing with UFC. I dont feel the modern game has as much talent as the past. I still love it and support it. But with all the titles and watered down talent it is different
Fab boxer post featuring super boxers all great in their own right. If your talking statistics marciano and mayweather are the best . Since my lifetime 1960 , Muhammed Ali was the best heavyweight. Sugar ray leonard the best pound for pound boxer .
Manny pacman Pacquiao is the GOAT of boxing way far behind sugar ray Robinson,8division champion,4 decade champion, oldest weather weight champion,5 division leneal, fighter of the years, and fighter of the decade, and so Manny other achievements in boxing, way way far behind of all greats in boxing, don't be blind for the truth,Manny pacman Pacquiao is suppose to be number one of the list, for me this is so bias,so unfair,so very far to the truth,
What? Dont say pacman is only in honorable mention in boxing'sgreatest.for me hes no. 1. Ha,ha,ha.whoever u whos talking, our very own pacman is one of the greatest ever in boxing history. everrrrr!!!grrrrr!!
You know mayweather has no place amongst these greats..he does have an impeccable record on paper, however some of those dubs were not without controversy as there were some instances at the end of fights when his hand was raised which left spectators of all levels of the sport (new fans as well as connosseurs and pros) were left dumbfounded and scratching their heads totally perplexed in wonder questioning how and why it so happened that he got the W right after having just witnessed his ass getting beat..conventional wisdom always held that mayweather bought off judges Edit- I mean I even recall a situation I'm which his corner (his father specifically) got on his case and told him straight up he was behind on the cards, that he was losing that particular fight, coach was actually pissed off at money..
No pacquiao 8 division world champion fighter off the decade world champion in four different decades lineal champion in 5 weight divisions sorry he's got to be on the list
How come James Tony, Roy Jones, Joe Casaghi, Winky Wright, Evander Holyfield, Lenox Lewis, Bernard Hopkins, and Vitali Klitchiko are not parts of Honorable Mentions in the video?
Boxing is divided into weight classes so that lighter boxers also have the opportunity to become world champion. However, any boxer can compete in the heavyweight division. In my opinion, the best boxer of all time can therefore only be determined by the fight records in the heavyweight division. The world of boxing is big. Accordingly, there are always very good boxers in this world. Objectification is therefore possible. When it comes to the best boxer of all time, only fight records at the highest level can be used. These are fights for the undisputed world champion and, for the reason mentioned at the beginning, only fights for the undisputed heavyweight world champion. It is irrelevant whether a boxer competes in such a fight as a challenger or as the defending champion. For me, the decisive factor in this balance is the positive difference between fights won and lost. The podium of the best boxers of all time looks like this for me after my explanations above with the following fight records for the undisputed world heavyweight champion: - the best: Joe Louis with 26 - 2 - 0, - the second best: Muhammad Ali with 13 - 1 - 0 and - the third best: Rocky Marciano with 7 - 0 - 0.

Marciano has got to be the most overrated fighter on the list. He fought an old middleweight Archie Moore and it took him until the 9nth round to put him down. What a joke record.

Lots of recency bias in this list. Plus, half of the guys you listed fought in very weak divisions during their era. The only one I'd agree with is the placing of Sugar Ray.
People love to hang shit on Floyd saying he’s cocking and this and that.. yeh but he made more money than anyone in boxing ever..can’t deny him that..and he fought everyone he could.. true top 5 best of all time in my opinion..

@@tyannaist yeah ....when they were not in there prime ....against Canelo .... the philly shield and ring runner ...let me know when he ever wanted to have true battle...
@@TheDarkSydde quit moving the goal post, most of those guys were in their prime and Canelo was 24 with lot of fights on his record when he fought Floyd who was at the time 37 yrs old on his way out of boxing. And what is your definition of true battle? Is that supposed to mean two guys feet chained together and swinging until one gives up? That's not boxing, Floyd claimed to be the best boxer which requires skills and speed he didn't claim to be the toughest.
In my comment above, I say I almost agree with the maker of this video. I agree with you on Ali. But my operative word is almost. That's because Ali idolized Robinson.

Your opinion. Not sure myself but a good shout.
Manny paquiao is undoubtedly the best of all time! He is not recognize as one because he is Asian.
Not at all, come on now
wrong, because hes NOT the best ever...top 5 maybe. boxings been around longer than the 90's.
Salvador Sanchez absolutely needs to be on this list.
I agree with you and so do most retired champions including Roy Jones and Mike Tyson.
that he's not speaks to the credibility of whoever made this bogus list...pfffftt. shows ZERO knowledge of boxings history, nada, zip, nil
@@icmman7horrible list
well for me, 8 Division Champion is better than 50-0 record. Just saying!
I agree 👍
The video has created a bit of discussion which I thought it may, but I really agree with ranking of No2 Mohamid Ali and No1 Sugar Ray Robinson.
this is all about american and latino fighter...asian fighter will not be recognized...right?

There was only 8 divisions in the past
Where's Pacquiao or Roy Jones. List is full of old flat foot fighters
I disagree with the majority of this list.
So what? LOL All have their opinions
Pacquiao is the goat, imagine 8 world champ in 8 division that is rare!!!!
But not a great boxer
8 bullshit weight classes made just for him..TFOH.
The greats my top five Sugar Ray Robinson,Rocky Mariano,Joe Louis The Brown Bomber, Floyd Patterson, Sonny Lison
Where did all the televised matches go like on HBO and Showtime? Saturday nights were the best nights for boxing. I miss it so.
Absolutely
In short : Ali, Robinson, Joe, Rocky, Hagler, Manny, Tyson, ........etc.

Salvador Sánchez should be here
I almost agree with this top pick. I would switch places with him and Ali. The reason I say almost is because Ali idolized him.

Refer to the GUINESS BOOK OF WORLD RECORDS. Who got the MOST UNBREAKABLE RECORDS is the GREATEST BOXER OF ALL TIME.
Mike Tyson was 190pounds pure muscle at 12
No Roy Jones Jr ??? Hitman Hearns or Oscar Dela Hoya couldn't make honorable mention?

I generally have no problems with this list but i will say this: nobody..and i mean *nobody* beats a prime Roy Jones Jr.
Totally agree 💯
ROY JONES JR!!!!
Rocky took the belt from an old washed up Jerzy and never fought a prize fighter since. But he was undefeated 👌🏿🥸😒
Some of the best old man champ at the time, that in the younger days would leave Marciano on the canvas.
Billie Bird from U.K. Has the most wins by KO (138) to Archie Moore's (132).

And, all the greats of that time didn't want to fight him.
Salvador Sanchez and Aaron Pryor is missing!!
Your appreciation in boxing is not complete study more
This is a hard list to put together, so many disagreements
Thank you,I appreciate it but
If a boxer ever quit in the ring they should be disqualified from the GOAT talk
That's what I said..... they got a quitter on the top ten list ???
I say the list is favor. Sugar Ray was and always will be #1.
Marciano number 10? Wtf???
cool vid but the AI voice is ridiculous(in general)
I'm coming. Be a witness I will be great.
Everyone hates on Floyd for the manny fight to.. hey, takes 2 to tango man, manny never gets the same grief.
No Jack Dempsey?
???
Tyson,or Ali should be in all time top 10,Ali had a few loses,Douglas and Holyfield proved Tyson was overrated
Simpleton
If Ali isn’t #1 and Lennox Lewis isn’t mentioned then something is wrong
Cherry pickers don't need to be on this list
Mayweather lost no fights and fought 23 world champions smh but he’s 6th??? Yea right
Should be much lower
Let us not forget, Mayweather rigged more than half his fights. His record should be 46-4.@@Bruins-vq5ey
Only manny Pacquiao
I believe if Tyson hadn't been in the joint for 4 years, he'd be vying with Mayweather JR and Chavez's records.
Tyson first made the mistake by leaving his former trainer......his style of boxing went downhill from there.
Jersey Joe was 38 years old he retired cause he had to fight Pretty Boy Floyd Patterson who was to fast and moved to much
What?
