At 71, there are only a few things left on my "Bucket List". But, at the very top, is to attend a live, neighborhood concert of this marvelous group!!! This WILL happen!
This is an excellent and faithful rendition. The ladies' vocals are epic, yet gracefully understated; a remarkable peformance. Superb musicianship all around. Thank you and all good wishes.
Of all days to find this song. I remember my dad singing this to my mom on long road trips when I was a kid. Now he's fighting dementia while my mom is dying if respiratory failure. I really needed a good memory to get me through the day. Thank you.
I'm amazed that you young ladies are covering these old songs. When my wife and I got married in 1984 this was an old song but I chose it for our wedding music because it expressed my love for my bride. You always do an awesome job on all your covers but in this case the Everly Brothers original is the best. having said that your rendition of CS&N Judy Blue Eyes was amazing. I have been a fan ever since. Foxes you go Girls! You rock!
Maggie is superb taking on the lead. Sammy and Chase harmonize beautifully. Tim and the Fossils show why they are great musicians. I will listen to this song over and over.
I turned 78 today. I grew up with the Everlies and loved thier music. Foxes and Fosils are my favorite group and they killed this one as always. Thank you!!
I rarely watch America Idol, not usually that impressed. But years ago I caught an early episode and watched that entire season. The reason: a young woman stunned me with her beautiful voice. My wife got tired of hearing me say that not only would she win, but she would be a star. That young woman was Carrie Underwood. Not since that time has any singer or group affected me like that...until I found Foxes and Fossils. Maggie, Sammie, and Chase are like finding 3 superstars in one group, each with the exceptional voice and passionate delivery of an international superstar. The Fossils provide exceptional accompaniment to this outstanding singing talent. I still hope one day to see a live performance, but I consider it a blessing anytime they share their exceptional talent with us in any form.
I have been retired for years but still work six days a week in my at home machine shop, welding etc. For myself I need a good song to lift my sprits to meet each day. I have always gotten that daily kick start from F&F. Thank you so much. God bless
Curious. How did you find these fossils that are all such great musicians. I think it is unique to find a group who have all kept up your music skills through the years. So much fun watching all of you. Hearing what you do is the bonus.
Tim ,Johnny, Toby, and Scott were from Tims professional band The Mustangs.(1996-2018) Darwin is a lifelong friend who played with Tim in several bands in their teens & 20s.

I love the voices of all the foxes but Maggie is my favorite....and with that said, I'm not saying she is the best of the three but she just has such a soothing voice...
@@charlescarter9597 Maggie's singing voice is normally soft and warm, but she is capable of belting them out when she wants to. "Can't Let Go" is a good example of Maggie rockin' the joint.
If she has a man in her life, a good and faithful man, and sings him that song, then he will be putty in her hands from then on. What a great rendition of a superb hit! The Everly Brothers, Requiescat in pace.
Maggie became engaged to long time boyfriend Luke Preston in December . Luke is a Nashville songwriter and musician (and all around good guy, I hear) she met at Belmont University. Maggie is the marketing manager at the Basement East music venue in Nashville. Luke writes for country artist Elvie Shane and others, see Elvie's music video My Boy here on RUclips. I am a bass player from the 60s & 70s, and one thing that I know, it is important is to have a drummer who can hold tempo and time and the F&F drummer does this well. He is a fine tuned rhythm machine. 👍👍🎵
I'm sitting here smiling and crying at the same time. I lost my wife last December from leukemia. She loved this song. She would have loved this cover. You never disappoint in your music. I bought your cd and play it alot. Impeccable harmonies. Love it.

It gives the whole song such a wonderful feeling up "air" and "opening" up.. Besides being great singers, whoever arranged the vocals is a real smarty. What a beautiful sound!
