Technique 9, if the guy has a knife, you got stabbed on the shoulder... one important rule is to always execute techniques as if the opponent is armed...

"what if the opponent has been training with 10 years experience in lets say muay thai, and has perfected his strikes and techniques? would catching and grabbing his arm like that still be possible?"
You can possibly grab someone's arm, assuming you're also skilled.
What isn't plausible is a resisting opponent moving their arm into that position in the first place, or you being able to keep your grip on it like that and move from the start to the around the head thing without more strength.

Then use aikido as a grappling martial art do not catch the punches. Those techniques are learning you joint locks and wristlocks and other effective things you dont need to apply them on the way its practiced. Just block a few punches do some combination, close the distance grab his gi ( his jacket, shirt) his wrist or arm and then you need to use aikido. I like to combinate it with bjj and judo and that makes the best grappling martial arts combination. But yes if you try to catch a punch its more that your head is gonna catch that punch ( possible BUT JUST IF YOU ARE VERY VERY skilled. And some people say that this martial art is dangeraus and stupid because its learning people how to defend against a knife. And they think that masters are claiming that if you know a knife defence you will 100% defend yourself against it. NO. I practice real aikido and some masters even say that there is no knife defence that exists and works. But all of that techniques can help you and will MAYBE defend you in that situation. There is always 90% chance that you will get cut while defending and 60-80% that your defence is gonna fail. But you started off with 99% that you will die and now you are on 60-80% and you are INCREASING your chances. But of course if you want something to work make sparing. I spar with my friends in real aikido dojo and thats grappling kind of sparing. And yes wristlocks and most of "magical" aikido techniques work if they are done and practiced on right way. And yes you need strenght for every martial art. If you red all of this then wow congrats...

If an Aikido practitioner gets a hold of your wrist or arm you are in for a world of pain!

I find the music distracting, takes away focusing on the video subject matter. Many videos use music; personally I am turned off, have to mute it. Why not just narrate the video and make it more instructional, not hip hop or whatever.

When you parry yokomenuchi with both hands on a single arm of uke, he can strike you with the other elbow, or not? What do you think?

Because it's an art, and not an effective combat system, putting way to much effort in maintaining "orginality" or "traditionalism" rather than actual effectivness. People who want to learn how to fight go learn to fight, not to practise arts.

This is "Real Aikido," a mixed variety of aikido developed by a Serbian master with influences from judo and jujitsu. It is a self-defense martial art -- not just a traditional art, but also not primarily intended to be used to attack someone. It is practiced as a sport with real-life applications and not for competition. The techniques respond to certain attacks without generally requiring a lot of strength, so that a weaker, well-trained person can subdue a bigger, stronger attacker. These green belt techniques are learned after passing the yellow and orange belt tests.
