Usually house names are either a quote,name of a relative, a saint or something religious!
For example carmel and Catherine are common for house names in my town as we celebrate the feasts of our lady of carmel and st Catherine of Alexandria the patron saint!

Usually you rename it, but here in Malta the older houses are named (by older I mean 15+ years), and back then it was less popular to buy a house rather than build one. Nowadays unfortunately people don't really name their house, but the traditional locals do
