      That couldn’t be further from the truth Osmania. I’ve read in several tennis autobiographies that losing in the finals of a major is a psychologically taxing experience. Federer said in his 2019 Vogue interview that this is the rematch he wants most. How would you feel if a 20 yo kid started doing your job better that you?

    • @gmediagroupss
      @gmediagroupss 4 года назад +1

      @@krogdog You dont know why I said that. Just imagine Federer won 2009 US Open final and lost 2009 FO semi final against Delpotro. 2009 FO was the only time Federer won French Open.
      I just said in a sarcastic manner that he must be happy for not losing at FO against Delpotro.
      Losing at 2009 FO would have been even major blow to Federer. It might have effected his Wimbledon chances too. Actually he almost lozt to Roddick.
      Based on all the circumstances that I said he must have been happy to see a new chamipion at 2009 US open than few moths earlier at FO the same year.

It was nailbiting, it was intense, but i never stopped believing that the GOAT would find a way to win, and he did. Most titles on the tour this season. Couldn't have dreamt of a better 2017.

      Yes. He's won 3 GS no doubt. But he's a really hot and cold player and his strongest surface is clay (on which he's still not a match for Nadal). He's also strongest against Djokovic, whom he can bully around. Del Potro would have surpassed him had it not been for injuries and has beaten the Big Four regularly.

      @@sachinnadal2021 yeah right, so now it's a weak era because diokovic and nadal play each other most of the time and no one is challenging them apart from federer. Is that plausible? Federer managed to survive 3 eras of tennis and managed to beat everyone adapting his game and reaching a level no one has seen ever since. Plus he's older than nole and rafa and he is still giving them trouble, winning big tournaments and reaching the final stages of the slams mos of the times. His era of dominance was not casual: he simply made everyone look weak, but those players were really good and always challenged since the beginning. They won slams and big tournaments and defetaed him multiple times. But he reached a level of tennis that was astonishing. Surfaces were faster, players were more challenging and the game was different. Every period has its challenges and Federer dominated because he simply was better. Why calling it the weak era? If there's Federer in it the theory is alredy gone. You haters always bring numbers and statistics but there's much more. You gotta watch the games and see what it looked like playing 15 years ago. He's 39 and he's still here. That's not a casualty isn't it? Be respectful towards him, because I respect Nadal and Djokovic and you should as well.
