With all due respect, how do you lift up Jesus if you don’t tell us about Jesus finished work on the cross and the free forgiveness of sins? If you’re preaching for life change /repentance that is not the gospel. Mentioning Jesus is not the point, telling accurately what he did for us is what gives us the motivation for life change. But if you only preach for life change and don’t give us the motivation of love for him because he first loved us, then you’re just preaching moralism.
