Nice groove built around the bass. Thad has own style and if you have listen to his playing over the years. You definitely know…🤔"That’s Thaddeus on bass. Well done 👏🏾
Bruh! I love the way they took a classic Fat Albert theme, then stretched and transformed it into one of the most funky, innovative, and downright bad-*ss jams I’ve heard in a good long while! Bravo!👍
I think I found a new favorite bass player. I stayed up all night watching videos of Thad. Pure gift from God. He is so dialed into the other musicians. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Groove is insane…the amount of lint in their pocket on this tune ….Tribbett on bass….simple, majestic and just plain smooth as glass….Are you looking Alice? Are you looking Alice? Blessings
I've been watching and listening to this for 2 days. It's phenomenal!!!! Even though I'm a bass player, it would be cool to have other camera angles. The drummer and horns really deserve it.
This entire band is so on point and in time w each other. Everyone doing enough to sound amazing ,but no one is over doing it on their instruments. Love it!!
Man, I've had many favorite Tye songs, but this tops them all. The rythm, the cadence, the ritards back to tempo, just everything about this song screams genius! This is such a feel good song. They absolutely did this.
Bro can't wait to see y'all June 3 at the Chicago Gospel Fest 2023. I hate it's only one day now but we are all going to be blessed to see Tye Tribbett and Company hehe!!! Y'all better come here and snap ok!!!! God Bless
Self taught bassist.. I can tell by his unorthodox fingering. I used to believe I could get around fingering techniques, until after playing 22 years. I learned that proper fingerng can offer an unlimited experience on bass.. been playing since 1979.. lastly, I tried to encourage pro bass players to stop looking at their instrument.. every is where it should be. Eventually muscle and placement memory with kick in...now you are really free..
There are three pieces I can see y'all slaying. 1. Overture: A partial history of Black music (Quincy Jones) 2. Rock It (Earth,Wind and Fire) 3. Stuff Like that 1978 (Quincy Jones) Especially #1. it has so many twists and turns. GodBless each of you...keep the muzik comin
Saw this straight funkiness and went STRAIGHT to download the album and it is STILL on regular rotation on my playlists!!! Thad has become my new favorite bass player!! Just STUPID🔥🔥🔥
This is spectacular! I wonder what comes first- the Biblical lyrics, the melody, the musical arrangement or accompaniment, what? How does something this special come to be? It must be The Holy Ghost
I'm serious, I have searched the internet to find out which instruments Tye plays, Just to see he plays the Fork, wow what a song. Next time turn Tye's monitor up. ❤
LOVED IT!! As a fledgling bass player, my eyes were filled with wonder, but I believe I was cheated a lil' bit because I wanted to see those horns get off, too (starting ~3:15, 5:54) 😎 ...I gotta play that again!! 👌🏾♦️👌🏾 I feel a lil' sanctified shimmy coming on.
Never forget seeing this dude playing bass on Jill Scott’s first tour in her band “Fatback Taffy”. Brother was dope. Had a lot of energy onstage and was able to hold down that pocket tight! Only one or two other bass players I know can hold it down like that with high energy - Verdine White and Flea.
Nasty… can everyone just thank the drummer for killing it without overplaying
🥁🙌🙌🙌
I'm with that! He did wonderfully, but, he did JUST enough to let you enjoy Thad doing his thing on camera. And that nonsense is AMAZING!
Good ol Spanky on set!
Needs more cowbell. That was George?
Nice groove built around the bass. Thad has own style and if you have listen to his playing over the years. You definitely know…🤔"That’s Thaddeus on bass. Well done 👏🏾
OMG THANK FOR SAYING THAT....GOD IM SO TIRED OF THIS FREAKING OVERPLAYING TODAY!!!
This just gave me the motivation I needed to practice my bass
Shoot, I just want to learn how to play bass abs or lead guitar!
This would be a good song for a marching band
Bruhhhhhh facts!!!
I was thinking the same thing myself.
They wold have to execute like most CAN NOT. BUT IF THEY COULD..?
I WOULD LOSE IT
Most definitely
I love the brotherhood, its really a blessing being in same industry and still brothers
Man.... they were smashing.... Fat Albert!, time changes, syncopation....Thad... BRUH 🔥 🔥 🔥

These brothers been cutting up since middle school. And super humble cool. That’s hard to find. 💪🏾❤️💯
These rifts are hard driven and reminds me of "Getaway" by Earth Wind & Fire. The horns are fatal. Nice!
I've been watching and listening to this for 2 days. It's phenomenal!!!! Even though I'm a bass player, it would be cool to have other camera angles. The drummer and horns really deserve it.
Thaddeus really just fulfills the bass role so well. Like always in the pocket in the best way.
Really the Jimmy Butler of Bass guitar bro.
