From the great financial philosopher Mike Tyson. “Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the face”

As far as retirement goes you should plan to get punched in the face. Seriously you know it's possible to have a 50 or 60% loss in the stock market and you should be able to weather it

Thank you so much for your videos. We just had an initial consultation with a retirement planner here in MI. I love that I went into our meeting with tons of knowledge.... All from YOU! They seem to have the same philosophy as your team has. Keep up the great vids!

Great video. I would be interested in understanding what asset classes fit into each quadrant and are there any classes that span multiple quadrants. Do you have any content covering asset classes and fund selection?

Thanks, great information for the current climate. The buckets worked well with funds I had inherited in late 2019, and then saw drop in early 2020. Came out just fine, so with my financial planner’s advice now, I’m not so nervous with the current Wall Street roller coaster. 1.8 years to retirement, so maxing out the Roth.

I don't really buy into the bucket theory myself. I believe in having an asset allocation that fits your risk level. Now I do believe in having two buckets if you have a Social Security bridge. One bucket for the Social Security bridge and one bucket for the retirement. But everybody's situation is different

Coming out of a fearful and uncertain time of the pandemic, experiencing a fearful and uncertain war in the Ukraine, going into a fearful and uncertain time of mid term elections, is it any wonder the stock market is nerve wracking?

Yea, it's killing me, I'm 6 months from retiring and my 401k dropped 13% in the last 4 months, has me rethinking retirement, and I don't like that.

Your emotions shouldn't be involved in your retirement plan. The risks are known and you must be flexible

I agree. It hard for many to be unemotional right in the middle of peak fear though.
