@@danielcordova4725 I think you'll be technically frozen in that moment. Interact with your surroundings, even with the people you see. But you'll always feel that warm and tingly feeling forever. That moment where you get all jittery and just want to frolic and squeal in joy. For me, that would be Heaven.

to me this was the saddest scene in the anime. it gives the viewers a glimpse of what could have been, miki and akira living a peaceful life without demons. the fact that they showed this scene right after that episode is just cruel. this is the happy ending they wanted but cant get

@@BroadcastingCN That is the point of Littlefinger's quote. Sansa was all giddy about knights in shining armor and chivalry and generally being naive. In saying life isn't a song, he was trying to get her to look at the world as it is, not as we might wish it to be.
This scene was the one that scarred me and hurt me the most, maybe more than (spoiler alert) Akira’s death I think just the fact that the screen slowly closes and it just fades to a black screen and you want to feel like mikis death was just a nightmare and this was the reality, but mikis death was the harsh reality and this good ending was the dream. Idk it just hurt so much
I cried wayyyy more during this than when she actually died, AND when Akira died.
I neglected watching devilman crybaby for an entire year. When it came out, I watched the first 4 episodes and just thought it was a stupid mashup of gore and needless sex. Now, a year later, I was listening to music on RUclips autoplay, when "Devilman no uta" started playing. I thought it sounded awesome, so I decided to give the anime a second chance, and good god am I glad I did. I haven't had an anime impact me like this in a very long time. I finished the last episode about 10 minutes ago, and I don't know what to do now. Insane.

thats how it was for me too.. i'd seen enough animes about sex and people dying so i turned it off but people kept saying "as the world caves in" (my favourite song atm) was devilman crybabys song and i was wondering how so i finished it . its all clear to me now . that IS devilman crybabys song
I kinda did the same. Kept putting this off for later, and finally decided to give it a go last night. Boy, am I glad that I decided to watch it. What an epic show.

manga akira was a little intense so that's why he went to hell in the manga but the crybaby version is more gentle so I like to believe that he went to heaven assuming the whole time loop ending isn't what happened as for miko she probably got the same deal akira did in the manga

Given that Mazinger Z Infinity is set in the same universe as the 1972 Mazinger Z, which is shared with Devilman and Getter Robo it seems clear that the victory mentioned did happen
Imagine after miki died, everything goes pitch black. Then she starts to hear this song and then she suddenly with akira on their bike. riding into the sunset. She is confused of what happened, but decides to enjoy it. Miki then goes up to heaven where she waits for Akira.
Well actually in the manga akira got sent to hell

My look on this cause this was on the episode she died. Her memory her impact is stilll clung on him they are both affected he cant move on now because she wad the reason for him to carry on but she isnt there anymore his hope for humanity lefted with her on that bike.

lexitaffy_ yas Yes but Akira isn’t actually Akira. You see, in the 70s anime, Akira dies before he could overpower Amon. Throughout the entire series, Devilman is Amon pretending to be Akira, and falling in love with Miki.
The Lad O.O I kinda like this ending but I’d also like it with akira as well and her does the 70s one have a show there’s way to many versions of this show omg and so this is how the 70s version ending looked with amon and miki driving off?

What i think is really cool that this is how the original devilman anime ended, this is paying tribute to that and saying "since devilman is a looping story, this is real in another timeline, one that You have already seen" and i think thats pretty cool

This is very weird for me, I finished devilman crybaby last week and I’m still thinking about it today, but for some reason this scene alone really sticks with me and I can’t stop thinking about it. It embarks an emotion that I can barely described it, it’s like a weird combo of hopeful but depressing feelings, this scene also happens right after miki was shown dead to Akira which is probably the most influential scene in the whole show and it adds soo much weight to this scene alone, it shows what could’ve happen if the 2 of them actually managed to work it out and be in a relationship. Not to mention but the music is also a perfect fit for this scene, the techno beat was such good transition for the end song

@@HouseofHalal Miko had feelings for Miki but it was never confirmed about Miki being a lesbian and in the original 70s anime it was shown Miki being with Akira in the end well he wasn't actually Akira it was just his vessel possessed by Amon who pretended to Akira and he did fall for Miki and it was confirmed by the director of the anime that Ryo was in love with Akira but that love was one sided Akira did love Miki and Akira's relationshipwith Ryo was just close to Ryo as a good friend and I think that fate thing was just a setup by god to punish Ryo .

Akira isn't smiling because this is the second cycle in Devilman after god bombed the earth and everything was reset, but Amon along with Akira's memories possessed new Akira and now Akira is on his way to murder Ryo but before that, sending Miki home

They had a different love for one another Miki truly loved Akira as more than a brother or family member meanwhile Akira loved Miki as a sister Ryo was Akiras true love and it shows thru their chemistry on the screen

I always took this to be like a hellhound kind of situation-- akira leading her to the afterlife, only after he's died. And the look on his face here is hugely contrasted with her having such a trusting look on her face at wherever the destination is... as he's driving, he doesn't look sure of anything at all... it's like he knows even after they both go to the new timeline they're going to go through this over and over again in different universes...
when the timeline resets for satan torture again hopefully spawn,scorpion,ghost rider, and doomslayer team up with akira

Yeah, and the intro makes a very overt reference to Miki(although the OG anime version) when it mentions that "for the first time, he felt the love of a human" which is describing the Miki in the Toei anime, as it was love for her that made Devilman betray Zennon)
