Oh, that's priceless! *Laughs and shakes my head* When I was young I looked up to and admired Raistlin from Dragon Lance. (I still do.) I don't think a single one of my heroes can be called positive by any meaning of the word. Famous quotes from Raistlin: “Hope is the denial of reality. It is the carrot dangled before the draft horse to keep him plodding along in a vain attempt to reach it." "Are you saying we shouldn't hope?" "I'm saying we should remove the carrot and walk forward with our eyes open!” “You cannot hide from danger. Death floats on the air, creeps through the window, it comes with the handshake of a stranger. If we stop living because we fear death, then we have already died." That aside there is some good advice in the video. Although much of it simply won't work for me. I'm terrible at denying myself something I desire. Which makes rewards given by myself pointless, because if I wanted it, I would have already had it. There is also the fact that Deadlines are tricky things when set by oneself. It is far too simple to just keep pushing it. It's much the same as telling someone else what I'm doing; It does nothing. I could tell the world my goal, decide I don't feel like doing it, and when someone asks how my goal is coming along, I would unapologetically say I couldn't be bothered to do it. I never make excuses. I know my own flaws and faults, and I accept them. I feel no shame or guilt for anything I ever do, regardless of what it is. Nor do I understand regret. I would, however, really have loved to see a video on how to figure out WHAT motivates you. As in, how to write a Vision that entices you and sparks your passion. There are many things in this world that I think would be nice to have. It's easy to create a Vision of a perfectly charming life, filled with all the small desires I can think of. That would be...nice. But it's not terribly motivating. It's too luke-warm. On the other side, I also do not fear anything. If I lose everything I have... does it truly matter? I would find a way to survive no matter what. I would find a way to create a reasonably comfortable life without needing to work terribly hard for it. I'm quite confident in my own skills. So as long as my health is fine, and I don't end up in a warzone, I don't see a problem. (Of course, considering where I live, the only people capable of becoming homeless are illegal immigrants or druggies, which makes it even less scary. It's not like I'm an american.) Ah, and notice how I don't even mention humans. There are 3 billions or more of them on this planet. Every single one can be replaced quite easily. (Even if I am a bit more fond of some than of others. It's hardly the end of the world if they vanish.) But I can never quite figure out what kind of Vision that would TRULY be inspiring. So a guide on how to figure out what you truly want in life would be nice. Do you have such a thing?
I write things down ! I am doing all of the right things. I left a negative job and now I am at a better job and happy and learning to tools I need to have my own business ! I set goals ! To get my masters , sell my first property in real estate and sell my finish writing episodes for my tv show . I did my masters application, have a showing on Friday for a property and then I wrote two episodes for my TV show . I have 6 more to write and February 1 is the deadline . This week I am writing 3-5. I also want to clean shit up . February I will start my bedroom and every month do another room !!
I’ve been having a hard time waking up in the morning and thinking all the negatives of what I need to get done. My therapist told me to replace each negative with a positive thought.
I've been experimenting that a bit as well. Would often stay up til like 5 am, then fall asleep til 12ish and it would take me a while to get into action. Often times, it's because I overthink a bit too much 😬😅
I have an annual planner. I write down my daily weekly monthly and annual goals. I find it's very comforting at the end of the year, when I look back and I see how much I had accomplished. It helps to get the most beautiful planner you can afford! This ensures that you will enjoy writing and keeping up in your planner. What also motivates me, is knowing that no one we'll make my dreams a reality. there is no damn Prince Charming.
Use your laptop or desktop camera and create a video journal for yourself. That will act as a log and if you make it consistent it brings forth journal of your struggles as you see yourself committed to your life! Been doing it over 3 years of video of myself to check my true potential, but also for my family generation who will get to see this in a timely manner for embracing reminisce succession.
I like the idea of writing down the "why", but here's a great tip that works for me: Write down big, past successes and how you felt. When you're not doing well or feeling down, you can go back to the "wins" and you'll remember how you felt then. It really re-motivates me.
I pray. Some problems are impossible and not microwave solutions. These are God's problems. I'm supposed to learn something during the process. Thank you Alux!

Good company automatically motivates a lot. When you see your friends being successful it motivates you to do something and achieve it too. Some people might say its jealousy although its not. Everyone should have a competitive spirit.
A successful life is being able to look back when it's time to take your final bow and seeing you did your best in pursuing your dreams/accomplishing your goals. A failed life is one of so-so effort or none at all; where you lived someone else's life.
