From own experience: this tether will not directly work with the new Garmin inReach Mini 2, as the Mini 2 doesn’t come with a spine mount. The mount was only included in the first Mini version. However, my domestic Garmin customer service was very helpful and sent me a mount for free as they weren’t aware of this matter when I first asked. The separate mount costs around 15 Euros and can be hard to find at your local dealers.
Thanks for flagging this up, yes you need a Spine mount adapter to use the backpack tether with the inReach mini 2 - gpstraining.co.uk/products/inreach-mini-spine-mount-adapter-with-carabiner

Is there a backpack tether for the Dakota series, please?
Yes, this one. It also fits the Garmin Dakota series.
I hope this helps.
@@ukgpstraining It certainly does. Thanks for taking the time.
thank you for this 👍
My pleasure!
Buy some rope/paracord and tie an alpine butterfly to your backpack. It's fall more cheaper and you never have to take it off.
Thanks for your expertise on this, it is appreciated.
