Real experiences of mine, throughout my schooling.
Primary School (elementary): Got sick, was out for weeks recovering. Failed Kindergarten because while i was dying in the hospital, i should have still done the pamphlets that were sent home with my twin sister.
Middle School: Was hit by a car in the school parking lot (Gym Teacher driving), was failed in my PE course because i couldnt run for the rest of the semester, and participation was required for the grade.
High School: Had two of my grandparents, an uncle, a cousin, and a three close family friends die from various reasons in a 60 day span, and missed time for these. School tried to fail me, but my mother came down like a thermonuclear warhead on the school board, and i was able to pass.
University: Hadnt slept for more than an hour at a stretch in several months, was a single dad to twin children, and was working full time, on top of working towards my degree. Professors took turns watching my kids while i slept through my few open periods. One even invited his wife to his classes so she could care for my kids, and when another professor tried to give me grief over it, five of my other professors ganged up on him and made him terrified to speak against me again.

I had one incident like this it was in grade 7 a great teacher honestly her son got sick though so she had to stay home to take care of him
So substitute comes in we all act normal honestly best face forwards… Themis dissolves into chaos as the class tended to get very rowdy that period(it was just before lunch)…. But pretty much normal and definitely not one of our worst days(no trust me it wasn’t, on our worst days no one learned anything and we would have many teacher sitting with us talks)
I accidentally got marked as absent during second attendance…. (I hadn’t even heard my name called)
AND I WAS THE PERSON WHO TOOK THE ATTENDANCE TO THE OFFICE!!! So don’t worry I got it fixed but that could have been bad for me…
Next day we go to class and the teacher is giving us all this disappointed look (this was increased by 10x as she was literally everyone’s favourite teacher )except for the few kids who were sick that day… and she levels us with the stare… and says something along the lines of “so I heard from the substitute and the office that you guys didn’t behave yesterday… some of you worse then others yes but none of you behaved * essentially insert are you mad no I’m disappointed here * (I’ve forgotten most of this lecture as it was years ago and my memory sucks when it comes to convos so one two skip a few and we get to this) that’s why we’re all going to write apology notes instead of the original thing I had planned except for those who weren’t there yesterday they can do what they want…
I wrote two very long pages(and I had spacing trouble when writing back then so very very long) of a very sincere apology and was still writing when the period ended… because I may be a massive liar a lot of the time my apologies are always sincere because I ain’t the type to apologize to someone without meaning it unless it was my sibling because my parents forced me too but those still sounded sincere

We all explained and he nodded and believed us, and we continued with the day. The sub and admin were yelling at us telling us that we were disappointing our teacher and that we were all being ridiculous.
They couldn't get us to "shut up" when we were all talking how we normally talk and doing our work. Our teacher never has trouble getting us to quiet down. He's a fantastic teacher and more should be like him.

I had that happen in middle school a sub was harassing me about dress code... For an outfit I'd worn the entire school year beforehand with no problems. And it wasn't like puberty hit me like a truck over this time, it already hit me and my corpse was at the side of the road in pieces decaying. So my fellow classmates pointed out to the sub that the outfit had never been dress coded and the lady said "I don't think you children will understand how developed they are. Their outfit is inappropriate for school." The entire class collectively kicked her out. The principal had to get involved and because he was a dude and felt uncomfortable with the situation he brought the vice principal in. Needless to say the teacher was surprised we basically got a sub fired yesterday for almost rioting.

She gave them detentions and left a bad note for the entire class. When our teacher got back he was super surprised and told us that he thought she was probably overreacting. Apparently he had told her beforehand that we're a super easy class and admitted (to her and then accidentally to us) that we're his favourite class. As soon as he told us that he panicked and said, "Wait don't tell any of my other classes!" This is his first year teaching and he's super nice lol, he's def one of my favourite teachers.

To be fair, their were kids just randomly walking out the classroom, and a group of boys started hitting each other with pillows, which then escalated to throwing hands, and eventually punches. There was also a group of popular kids recording tiktoks, and another group of popular kids gossiping. But she made ALL of us write a letter, even though about 1/6 of the class was absent, and 1/6 of us were doing what we were supposed to.

When the teacher came back she gave every student in the homeroom an office referral and called their parents and made the student talk to them in front of the whole class. There were some kids that got written up and weren’t even at school the day the Sun was there.

Bro, our teacher forgot we had a test once, and used the schedule excuse to still put it up, since the principal was there she didn’t want to look bad, so a student passed her a note and she said that maybe it might be a good idea to wait s couple days, apparently the note read that he and 7 other kids were ready to walk out of the class if she did do the test that day, and since the principal was there she didn’t want to risk it, I don’t know if he was bluffing or not, I’m just glad we didn’t fail
