I have enjoyed watching you as always. This video is better. I watched the old movie till I got it and could do it well enough and actuall taught it at the SDFA meeting a couple of years ago. Whenever I put it with a bouquet it gets rave reviews. Thank you for all you do to help educate.
Ooooooooh, I'm seeing a fabulous new take on the cornucopia for a modern Thanksgiving/Friendsgiving arrangement. Thank you so very much for all your amazing content 👌

Hi ! Beatific piece. You are a gifted teacher. I'd like to suggest that you write the materials you have used in the description so that we can be able to search for them. I'm Brazilian and some of the products we don't find them here. Thank you !
Thank you for watching Eliana. I do talk about the materials used in most part… the key ingredient I used here is Midollino, a type of rattan sticks which was available until most recently in the floral supplies. There’s a shortage so the line has been discontinued. You can still find similar to these in rolls through rattan and Reed suppliers on Amazon - Commonwealth Basket in different thicknesses. Xxx💚
The possibilities for this technique are endless! Would love to know the name and source for the wire-cutting scissors you use here. Thanks for sharing!
Hitomi, I've used this technique without diamond wire using Xerophyllum tenax however I've not used Midelino before. Would it achieve the same results ie nautilus spiral if you soaked the Midelino?
Hi Angela, no need to soak the Midollino to get the bend - its tensile enough to bend without soaking. Soaking may actually discolour the Midollino when dry.
Since Midollino sticks have been discontinued… I am using #4 Reed from basketweaving store online sourced. They are less expensive, stronger(they don’t break) and the sticks are much longer… comes in rolls. Xxx💚
Midollino has been discontinued by Smithers Oasis… I now buy round reed #4 grade natural from Levair’s Caning if in Canada. Anywhere else, google basket weaving supplies and you will find this material. Xxx💚
Mary, Midollino is rattan Fiber sticks . Unfortunately as floral supplies, they have been discontinued in North America by Smithers Oasis. The closest material can now be purchased in rolls through Cane shops online like Commonwealth Basket. Xxx💚
I appreciate your wonderfully clear instructions.
Glad it was helpful! Xxx💚
