I already have the script in my head and could surely pull-off an hour & a half movie featuring “yours truly” (along with the Slotmassacre gang) but putting it all together with the cast & crew would take some doing. Perhaps, I’ll put together a 15 minute featurette along those lines. But it wouldn’t be ready until around Thanksgiving or Christmas…..and to do the story justice, I would have to get the casinos to allow me to film it. I’ll see what I can do!😝🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
John, just curious if you knew if Aces and faces played the same as bonus poker.Casino I go to aces and faces has a better pay table. If you could comment that would be great.Thanks.
I have seen the game, Aces & Faces, around and it is of interest because when you find the game, it usually has an 8/5 pay table just like 8/5 Bonus Poker does, except that Aces & Faces pays 200 on J, Q, K’s instead of 200 on 2, 3, 4’s as found on Bonus Poker. So it’s usually found next to a 7/5 Bonus Poker pay table, while it has an 8/5 pay table. Because you get paid on JoB hands and get a bonus quad with the 200 on J, Q, K’s the strategy is going to change. The pay back on Aces & Faces is slightly higher coming in at 99.26% vs. 99.17% on BP. Also, there’s a 10% better chance of hitting J, Q, K’s on it for 200, than hitting 2, 3, 4’s for 200 on Bonus Poker. So if you’re in a casino that features 7/5 BP but offers 8/5 Aces & Faces, the Aces & Faces would be the way to go. But the player has to be well-versed & practiced on the game to make a go of it. I don’t see that game a lot at high denominations, and it isn’t as wide spread as 8/5 Bonus Poker. So I haven’t really toyed with the game much. I’m sure it’s a great game and it’s pay back slightly beats out 8/5 Bonus Poker. If the game were found everywhere and found also at high denominations, I would undertake practicing on it with a simulator and seek the game out in the casino. 8/5 Bonus Poker is my mainstay game and quite ubiquitous in my area as well as Las Vegas, so there’s no pressing need for me to learn a only a slightly better game that’s not as wide spread. It the situation were reversed and Aces & Faces were found everywhere, I would most certainly undertake learning Aces & Faces and make it my go to game.😁🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
@@johnsworldofvideopoker thanks for taking time to respond.I am a low roller so A and F I play is 7/5.I play in Reno seems to be easy to find, only started playing it because the bonus poker had games that paid 150 credits on all quads.Fake bonus poker Maybe not sure.I been playing it like bonus poker except favoring face cards.from what your telling I might have to study up on the game. Thanks for your videos as bonus poker is my favorite game learned a lot from watching.
Keno has one of the worst paybacks of any casino game, and even though I haven’t played the game in years, I used to enjoy it. Video Poker, on the other hand, has paid me a small fortune. One session does not represent the totality of one’s experience in video poker.🌎
John, another great video! I have three training simulators with Video Poker for Winners as my favorite. I am disappointed support is no longer available for VPW. I will need to keep my current desktop for the rest of my video poker career:-)
Thank you, Mark. Yes, you may have to upgrade to, WinPoker by Zamzow, to download on your iPhone. It’s so good. Be sure to drop a hello to Skip when you see him at your local casino. He’s looking forward to it.🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
@@johnsworldofvideopoker Yeah, I have WinPoker on a CD and my phone is an Apple 6S Plus. When I upgrade my phone, I will add WinPoker. The local casino is running 5X tier credits this weekend. It will take $25,000 CI just to earn a total of 6,000 tier credits (1,000 X 5 + 1,000 bonus tier credits). $25 CI business is a huge disadvantage! Under the prior rule the same amount of play with this promo would earn 17,500 tier credits! Long story short, I don't think I will hit them up this weekend. Anyway, the next time I will definitely look for Skip. I am quite sure I could learn a thing or two from him. Take care, Mark
I’m not sure I caught that video. I’ve missed a few here and there myself, but there’s always another Royal Flush right around the corner. Players hit Royals every day of the year 24/7. They’re ubiquitous!🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎

Great information, Eric, those are the kind of stats that help players evaluate where to put their gambling dollars. Thank you so much for your research and insights!🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
@@johnsworldofvideopoker The bar in the sports book at Red Rock surprisingly has a 94% paytable on Cleopatra Keno -- incredibly random thing (I stumbled upon that by accident). Most strip keno machines are 80% or 82%. Pass!
I’m sorry to hear that, I don’t know wether you’re talking Slots or Video Poker. They have some of the best games anywhere in video poker with a few exceptions.🌎
Andrew is a smart & shrewd video poker player and is really good at maximizing the “free play/comp game” in the casinos. His primary game of choice is TDB, and I’ve seen him, time and time again, massacre the casinos with that game. He knows that he wanders off a little (outside of his TDB specialty) by offering a potpourri of games, but that’s just his effort to accommodate the varied interests of all the video poker players out there that want to see their favorite games played on his channel. That is a daunting task and is made even tougher when some of those games feature the “not so good” pay tables. So, I understand where he’s going with it. I just stick to the one game that I know reasonably well (8/5 Bonus Poker). There are other games that I’m familiar with and would like to display on my channel, such as: BPD, DDB, NSUD Deuces Wild, & DB, but I won’t branch out and play them until I reach my very specific goal of hitting, $100,000 in 2022, on 8/5 Bonus Poker. At that point, my channel would also feature a few of the other games. Slotmassacre & John’s World have slightly different approaches to our respective RUclips channels, but when it comes down to playing just “the one game” that we each specialize in, we go all in. At some point in the future, we may even collaborate on a few jointly made video poker “special-edition videos” and run them on our channels. They would be a kind of “behind-the-scenes” videos of high denomination play. Thank you for your continued viewership.🌎
I like you showing the full development. It assures me that the indian-run Cherokee casino (where I lose the majority of my money) may be playing normally and not just tight. Nonetheless, you got a lot of play off the casino's money and actually made a bit!
Thank you for your viewership, Leonard. In the coming year, I expect to visit both those Cherokee casinos in North Carolina. I don’t expect to find very good games there, but I still have been wanting to check them out for about the last 2 years now. The pay tables may not be all that good so I understand about the losses. You can rest assured however, that there’s nothing nefarious going on. But it’s hard to win at a negative expectation game when it’s crippled even further by having bad pay tables. Hopefully you can get to Vegas once in a while and visit Red Rock. It’s a video poker players paradise!🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
@@johnsworldofvideopoker Thanks for taking the time to give me such a full and encouraging reply. I've been playing at Cherokee for over 20 years. On certain banks of machines--particularly progressives--I do believe Cherokee has some control. In Joker Poker games, I've had several freezes when I start with 4 of a kind, even blackouts, and long pauses (6 seconds) before the 5th card is revealed. Four months ago on a Double Dbl Bonus progressive, a guy was given the gift Aces with a kicker and the whole bank of 18 machines immediately froze for 10 minutes and had to be reset. Naturally we players assumed that this was caused by the Aces popping despite management's controls. From experience, I avoid certain banks when the royal exceeds twice its starting value. And in general I toil on hoping everything isn't rigged! To be generous, their high limit video poker machines don't display this suspect behavior and even have decent pay tables. (About 10 years ago they actually had a bank of $25 Jacks or Better 6-5 machines! This didn't last but three months, though. Most are 8-6 or 9-5 now, at or above the $5 level..) I do look forward to trips to Vegas and will happily buy you a meal when you visit Cherokee.
The bane of video poker players are malfunctioning machines, from sticky buttons, broken return springs, to off-color screens that fade, to “screen glitches” & frozen-screens while playing. Every time I see a malfunctioning machine, I make it known to the floor techs, they usually open the machine & notate it on the card inside. After I leave the casino, I report it in surveys to management. I never let-up on them until it’s resolved. One time, one of the machines at Harrah’s SoCal, had a shattered screen that looked like a windshield looks when it gets hit (like a spider-web). You would think that they would remove the machine but it sat there for a year like that & it was turned-off. You’d think that they would at least cover it up with poster board instead if allowing everyone to see that someone may have gotten out if control and punched the screen because of the bad pay tables. The fact that they allowed that machine to “sit there on display” in that condition shows very poor management and lack of pride in their casino. They destroyed the video poker offerings at that casino by removing all the good pay tables. No legitimate video poker player in our area goes there anymore. We’ve all moved over to Pala & Pechanga. It’s such a shame because, Harrah’s SoCal, used to be a rockin’ hot spot for so many years. It’s a shell of its former self. Thank you for your generous meal offer. I will take you up on that!😉🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
@@johnsworldofvideopoker Cherokee has excellent dining and world-class hotel rooms. In addition, they have remained non-smoking since the COVID reaction. I'll happily treat you to a meal. And there is a Ruth Chris steakhouse on site!
Thank you, Leonard. Ruth’s Chris is an excellent steakhouse! They have one on the 2nd floor of Harrah’s Las Vegas overlooking the Strip across from Caesars Palace. Pechanga is non-smoking now too. Thank goodness.🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
Yes, I see that. That was Curtis playing and I was filming over his shoulder. I’m not sure what happened there because he’s one of the best players I’ve ever seen play. Prison Mike, It seems as though you are a fan of the best show in the world. So, I’m gonna tee this one up for you….. I was hitting that thing too fast. *insert quote here*
Thank you for the video. May I ask you a question? When did Slotmassacre become the video poker legend? He is the successful/ entertaining you tuber and possibly the profitable VP player… unfortunately he makes too many errors during his plays. I wonder what would the real video poker legend-Bob Dancer- say about the Slotmassacre play and the games selection?🙃
Bob Dancer is the undisputed King of Video Poker and a big hero to both John’s World of Video Poker & Slotmassacre. In terms of perfect strategy, his books, his vast knowledge of all the games, his titular success with “Million Dollar Video Poker”. Bob Dancer is in a league of his own. Of course, Bob Dancer was there during the Golden Era of Video Poker, made the most out of that opportunity, took it way beyond the next level and inspired us all. Nothing can take that away from him. Now, we’re in the age of RUclips. And as far as video poker goes (in this Vegas generation of video poker players) all eyes have been on Slotmassacre for just about 2 years now. Slotmassacre’s primary game is TDB, but in an effort to please all the viewers, he spreads himself a little thin sometimes offering up all the games on his channel. So, yes, many errors can occur trying to play all the games for all the different players when he’s more of a specialist in just a few of the games. I prefer one game, and one game only, and I’m certainly no expert, nor do I pretend to be. I gladly highlight my own errors for all to see. The legendary aspect of Slotmassacre comes in the fact that he, like Bob Dancer before him, is also going to cross the $1,000,000 threshold in video poker, as will I. I’ve personally witnessed Slotmassacre win hundreds of thousands of dollars in video poker and he knows my personal track record in that regard too. That $1,000,000 bar was set high by, Bob Dancer, in the first place. And we intend to meet, and then, exceed it, errors and all.🌎
John, I don't know why you're advertising for Pechanga, of course, unless you're getting a little stipend for it...which is OK with me. Nothing like taking advantage of free enterprise. We both know Pechanga and Yaamava are zoos on their own.
I promote, Pechanga, like I promote, Red Rock, because they both offer outstanding video poker pay tables. They are player friendly casinos that are very well run. I don’t have an arrangement with either of them and receive no renumeration from either company from my videos. Yaamavá has great video poker games in their beautiful High Limit area, but not very good games on the main floor. Pala is another great video poker casino in Southern California. They’re next on my promotion list.😁🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
@@johnsworldofvideopoker I know all the Indian casinos throughout SoCal having been born and raised there, living there for 66+ years frequenting most occasionally and the three you mentioned very often. My wife worked at Pechanga at one time. When it was San Manuel, we used to go there for bingo then in the casino but finally had enough of the tweekers asking for change and cigarettes. Though my wife worked at Pechanga, the employees were allowed to play there until they nixed that so it was off to Pala. Pala was great for a while but for some reason it fell off the rails. Service went south, seemed like the place looked old and ratty and the machines really seemed to tighten up; it wasn't a small string of losing strings, it was like that for what seemed like forever. Hopefully they have upgraded their image from the last time we went there. We eventually moved down to Escondido and started going to Valley View, about 15 minutes from where we lived. That was more fun than the others having more winning nights than the others. We finally retired and moved to Oklahoma so the California days are over. Like I said, even if you did get a little kickback from Pechanga, I think it's great. It's like Indy cars with their sponsers all over them.
Yes….back in the day, Pechanga, Pala, and Harrah’s SoCal reigned supreme in video poker. All three were jammed packed with aisle after aisle of video poker machines. Harrah’s SoCal removed all their good video poker machines 3 years ago and put in bad pay tables in the new machines. Pala reduced their number of video poker machines but still support great video poker pay tables (especially in their High Limit). Pechanga has always been great in video poker and still is. Great pay tables on most video poker games throughout the casino.🌎

Thank you for your comments. There’s no editing on my video poker play, but I do know how to “quit while I’m ahead”. All IGT video poker machines have Random Number Generators (RNG). It matters not, if you stay on one machine for an eternity, or hop around from machine to machine every 2 minutes. The hands still come out randomly. As for tips, I don’t show them in my videos. It’s more than difficult to hold a camera in one hand to film tipping. I tipped $700 to 7 different staff members ($100 to each) when I hit the $100,000 Royal Flush. Now, that was overly generous. A flat-rate $20 tip is adequate & generous in all circumstances and is not tied to the size of the jackpot.🌎

YOU WERE AT 750 VIDEO POKER IS POSSIBLY THE WORST GAME NEXT TO KENO
The K and 10 of clubs. Andrew had it in hearts and didn't keep the 10. Cost him 20 grand live on camera.
I’m not sure I caught that video. I’ve missed a few here and there myself, but there’s always another Royal Flush right around the corner. Players hit Royals every day of the year 24/7. They’re ubiquitous!🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
Nice run you have going there! I'm going to be at Pechanga Monday through Wednesday next week. Will you happen to be there?
Sure, I can probably meet you there on Tuesday. Just to be sure, send me a head’s-up email at johnsworldofvideopoker@gmail.com on that Monday. Thank you.🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
@@johnsworldofvideopoker Cool, will do😀
I have hit 8 out of 9 on Keno a few times..the payouts are much better in vegas. It can be boring but when you hit 8 out of 9 its exciting.
No doubt. Super exciting and the game is fun and has it’s intrigue. I enjoyed playing it actually. I just wish the odds leaned a little more favorably towards the players. I’m glad you’ve experienced some great hits on it!😉🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
You can find 92-94% payback keno some places (Red Rock has a few), but most video keno is in the 80-84 range.
Pass!
@@johnsworldofvideopoker Note only Cleo -- Their Four Card is 87% which is high for keno, but still terrible compared to VP.
Hate that casino always take never give drive pass that casino there more casino driving up
I’m sorry to hear that, I don’t know wether you’re talking Slots or Video Poker. They have some of the best games anywhere in video poker with a few exceptions.🌎
I respect you John. But I question slotmassacre, watching his videos he seems like a pure gambler. I wish he discussed strategy instead of wild plays.
2:55 you hold a lone Jack, you should’ve held the 4’s instead.
Yes, I see that. That was Curtis playing and I was filming over his shoulder. I’m not sure what happened there because he’s one of the best players I’ve ever seen play. It could be we were distracting him or something, he would never miss a hand like that. Thank you for your comments and viewership. Now I can rib him about it!😝🤷🏻♂️

@@johnsworldofvideopoker Is that Harrah's in the desert or the one up in Funner, just east of Escondido? Or both?
Harrah’s here in Southern California. (Harrah’s SoCal).
