They can't all be the same shape because there's a large difference between torque capability and just like everything else in engineering, you select the type of fastener that's appropriate for your requirements and application.
Of course, some vendors just use proprietary fasteners just because they can, and that's bad too.

It was nice to have Linus's daughter there for a little bit, she seems to finally be at the age that she's somewhat interested in what you are doing instead of just the results and that was really nice to experience. You should have let her put her name on the GPU plate or draw something on it, so that something of her is on the inside, also makes for a fun moment when you decide to upgrade or change it and you come across it.
It was also nice of Linus's older son Jake to help his dad finish the computer.

Maybe I missed something but I think what you think as being his home is not his home but actually a set built inside the warehouse building they work at.
It's not an actual home. They sometimes hint it in some review videos "we bought this for our kitchen set" or "we will use this for our kitchen set", kitchen set being basically a setting not an actual kitchen, etc.
They built a kitchen, living room and it's just basically one side wall decorated the other side is a open workshop and empty space etc. Just like you would find inside a movie or tv show.
But yeah sometimes they do build or customize things at his home which ends up being a video content.
On a related note I seen even some streamers who have a room made as an set and not actual room, one side that on camera is all decorated even have a bed while the other side is an empty room just pipes and plastered walls, like a workhouse not even actual house room. Some have huge basements that are taller then the actual house rooms so they convert those into stream rooms and sets, shops whatever ...

Never talking down to them, and always trying to teach them something. and no matter how complicated a topic may be, tries to find a simple and easy to understand explanation for it. But being a good parent still takes active effort to give your kids the support they need to grow up to be great adults. It’s not easy, and there isn’t enough of it, so even if it’s harder for others its still great to see.

4:03 this makes sense. Since it's a fresh application of very wet thermal paste, putting it back won't make any difference. However replacing the cold plate with OLD dry thermal paste (that's been there for a considerable amount of time) will leave air bubbles. So if the thermal paste has been there for years, clean it off and apply new thermal paste. I tend to re-do thermal paste with my CPUs and GPUs about every 2-3 years.
