just want to say I've been on RUclips for about 3 days looking at reviews and info on this bag as i was going to get the peak design one, this was a stellar review on this bag thank-you so much you covered everything i needed to know thanks so much
I have the 450 aw11 sooooo much space but it is heavy especially when fully loaded and not as comfortable as I though it would be but does the job I need it too and it all feels nice and safe.
2.40am and I'm looking at bag reviews on the more popular channels, I came across this gem and my decision has been made. Thank you sir for the most realest review out there and good night lol
I love your review. I was initially skeptical that the apple would fit but you made me a believer! Thanks for making this review. It is one of my favorite reviews in RUclips.
Cheers, hope the bag works out for you.....i still use mine all the time!

Thanks for your amazing review Richard! I am especially glad you confirmed that this bag will fit under airplane seat. Thats why I am getting one in the first place.
No problems, thanks so much! There was at least 1inch space left when I put it under plan seat...so loads of room. I might upgrade to 450version in future (if I get much more gear), I would think that the 450 would also squeeze in under plan seat also, but it would be a tight fit 👍
Great review. Fun and informative. Got here through your instagram account. Only issue I had with the review is that you called yourself an "amateur photographer" at the beginning. There's nothing amateur about your photos on instagram man. They're beautiful. Looking forward to future reviews. Keep it up.
For what it’s worth, I think their design team accepted that some part of a bag gets dirty when it’s put down, and they gave this one rear access, intending it to be thrown off your back onto its front on the ground but providing full access, and keeping the straps clean. Whereas their ProTrekker is more urban, has front access, and is intended to stand upright.
@@richardlynam2007 by all I've seen this is more or less 85% of what I wanted in a bag, just a tad bigger and no side pockets would be better but I'm totally happy with it as is 👍
Hello Richard, I have been looking for a Backpack for a long time now. Watched loads and loads of reviews. Based on your review ordered this one and now have it, Excellent Review , looking out for more reviews from your self. Kindest Regards Stephen Fox .
Thanks Stephen, it's a great bag, must say I'm really happy with it. I was thinking about the peak design one also...all the reviews rave about it, but don't think it looks very easy to access all your gear, plus it is overpriced in my opinion.👍
Cheers Jon, it's a great bag and was perfect for starting for me....just got another lens today....so it's starting to get full now...I might go for the 450 version next, but reckon I will still use the 350 for day trips.👍
My main concern was being able to fly with it and put it under the seat in front which you answered that straight away. Just bought it for 159 GDP with a free Joby Gorilla pod 3K on Wex.
Stop the backpack from falling over is easy. The raincover needs to be put as far in the back as you can. And your lenses need to be with the front of the lenses to the opening. My backpack stays up when it's on the grond, even in a forrest.
Thanks very much. Best review I found on utube and on the basis of it have just put an order in for one that by the magic of on-line shopping should be here tomorrow for me to play with 👍
I take off the pull tabs from the zippers and thread a piece of coathanger wire through the loops to lock the zippers together. Im not a fan of side openings either. I have Lynam relatives is Skerries!

It looks much too big for mirrorless. Are there any smaller versions with a shallower camera compartment? Lowepro do great bags but they’re built for DSLRs.
Sorry don't use a battery pack. There seems to be lots of room when camera body is put in top of bag (about 1.5" min below base of camera). It might be a squeeze as those battery packs seem big
So sorry for late reply....only seeing some of these comments now (dont know why!). I'm not sure if the dji rsc2 fits inside, sure by now you might be able to tell me :)
Can someone please measure the laptop compartment depth? I have a slightly larger notebook that exceeds the "nominal" dimensions stated by Lowepro and I'm not sure whether it will fit. Thanks
Thanks. I can get a Tamron 17 -28, 28-75 , 70-180 & 85prime + body in it, but this leaves no room for anything else and is not ideal (I since bought bigger version of bag, which is better if you want to store 4 lenses). I would imagine your 3 lenses would fit, but I think they are all pretty large (I guess), so not much room after that.
Richard Lynam thanks for quick response, appreciate it. Is it 450? Are you planning to review that soon? 100-400 mm is quite big and heavy lens, well most on Canon lens are for that matter.
@@babahimachali yip I got the 450, it's a great bag, stores absolutely loads!. But it is a good bit bigger and heavier. Since I posted first video, I've gotten more lenses and stuff (you know what it's like!), So I use the big bag for keeping everything in and for long trips away. But if I am bringing camera bag local, the 350 is still my go-to bag. I will review 450, but it might be a little while as it takes me bloody ages to get the time to make these vids 😜
Richard Lynam appreciate quick response. I guess I am too going for 450 😀 as planning to add gears over the time so better to invest in something good now.
Richard Lynam I forgot to ask, I saw couple of reviews that 450 bag depth is more than 350 and people has some concerns. Is there any issue with camera, lens etc. moving around while carrying bag or they stay secured?
It doesn't look like there is plenty of "personal storage" space. You guys don't carry some extra non-camera related gear with you? (headphones, spare tshirt/socks, chargers when traveling? That stuff needs to be easily accessible)
I use the 450 II and I keep my personal stuff in the top compartment and inside the smaller pockets on the sides. I agree that the layout is not optimal for mixed use, but it can be done. Optimally, I would use a normal camera bag (not backpack) in conjunction with a general purpose backpack or luggage with easy access (like the Samsonite Prodigy). Otherwise, it is still a nice backpack if you have to do some trekking, because you can attach a lot of things using the SlipLock system. And if you think about it, keeping your stuff in modular bags makes it easier to manage your inventory anyway. Also, being smart and downsizing your electronics can be a great way of expanding your carrying options. You can pack a very small 65W USB-C charger (like the Baseus GaN2 Lite), a slim 10k mAh powerbank, very compact BT headphones (e.g. Bose QC45), and you'd be surprised how much utility you can pack in a single bag.
Well the 350 aw has a laptop compartment in the sleeve that is rated for a 13" laptop (which would easily fit in). It is well padded. If it is a thin 14", I would say it would fit also, but might be worth checking that in a store first or going for the 450aw which can hold a 15" laptop.
So sorry for late reply....only seeing some of these comments now (don’t know why!). Hope you found a solution to your phobia of waist and chest straps :)
