18:00 I mean yes Subaru is one of the best written isekai characters but his mental state had been broken atleast majorly 2 times, 1) in the mansion where Emilia saved him and 2) when Rem saved him with the most iconic lines of ReZero.

The Rem cliffhanger wasn't really there in the initial release. It was only after s2 was confirmed and we got the directors cut of s1 or whatever it's called that the season actually ended on a cliffhanger. That's not to say that some eagle eyed viewers didn't pick up on the hints but it wasn't stated out right unless you knew the LN. Initially it just cut to credits after Subaru and Emilia had the talk in the field after the explosion.

Only a week as far as I remember. The director's cut added the end scene. The last episode of the director's cut of S1 was a week before as far as I remember.
Okay, two things. The whale was created by the witch of gluttony. Now, the witch is not a sin archbishop, they are THE witch of that sin, while the others are sorta inheritors of that sin in a way. Lye Batenkaitos is not the WITCH of gluttony, just kinda the guy representing her sin
I fully agree with you about Subaru, unlike most MC’s he is just a normal guy and even his “power” is something he doesn’t really have a choice over since it’s guaranteed to happen. To a normal person it’s like reliving a nightmare so it’s amazing how he’s held together.
