Great video as always man. Just curious why you like the Luxx over other Selkirk paddles? I’ve really been trying to decide between the Luxx invikta and vanguard control. I know you’ve played both and am curious what swayed you towards one over the other? (Also excited for the amped pro even though I know that’s gonna be more if an all court paddle as opposed to these control paddles)
How do you decide to flick vs roll on your backhand volley? Height of the ball...time to prepare? btw....watching you right now. Up 8--7 in game 2 vs the Johns....keep it up. Good luck in Game 3!!!
Hey Jordan quick question for you so is a push dink basically a flat dink ? Or is a push dink a dink with spin ? Just wondering I’m tying to understand it a bit more.
@@BrionesPickleball okay I see what you mean Thanks for the help really appreciate it. I did have a follow up question about what you said So basically it’s just a dink going deep to the feet basically would that be right ? Also would it be an aggressive dink too then ?
Is Cadens left foot always on the kitchen line when he volleys? hahaha. J/K (dont care just messing with you guys) love the videos - great work isolating solid winning skills to work on! Also loved you guys pointing out Zanes backhand flick to the backhand, and the fact that he did it with a downward trajectory was pretty sick.
great video (as always!!!) - Question: do you have any recommendations for exercises to strengthen the wrist and forearm??? Preferably ones that do not require a gym !! That would be super helpful!!!!
Great advice yet again! Location over power and SLY when deciding when to speed up with rolls whereas prioritize pace on flicks. You guys rock! *FYI it really shows how much Caden has been “working out” his forearm:)
Thank you! Great video. I see that I have been doing more of a roll flick, coming over the ball as I flick my wrist. I will keep my roll flick for occasions when I want to push the ball down with topspin, but will incorporate a straight flick as well for hitting spots like shoulders and chest.
@@BrionesPickleball Thank you! Very last question. Is there a topspin flick that has a motion similar to throwing a frisbee then? That was how I originally learned what I thought was the flick.

7:13 Jordan’s face wondering where this was going. 😂
🫣
7:24 has me weak 😂
@@benjaminmajors2183 it’s like a reaction from Jim in The Office.
I give him credit for maintaining his professionalism. Caden's a goofball.
@@brianlane9534 Either that or its just been a long time since Briones was single
These tutorial style videos are goated
😉
LMAO… Don’t know how you’re still single Caden 😂🙈
😂
“I don’t know what that has to do with anything, but…” 😆
PG pod Caden PG pod..
PG pod Caden, PG pod😅. Jk I approve of this message.

Amped pro is a power paddle. I like the Luxx because it suits my game (resets and control).
3:58 what about a lob to the far corner? Great video!!! TY!
That’s a good option as well!
Great type of video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
are flicks mainly used on slow balls?

For me, it’s a more flat deeper dink. Some other players have different vocabulary

Just saw Caden hit a dirty behind the back reset / counter in the round of 64 ATL PPA, they won the point too. You should ask him about it! lol
I will!

Is Caden back to using the SLK?
He uses all paddles lol
Great my friend 😊
Thank you! Cheers!
@@BrionesPickleball okey 1 more uploaded ☺️
This seems to be more of a backhand slap. I thought the flick was more of a down to up flick like you were throwing a frisbee in the air?
This is very similar to that. There are different variations of the flick.
Single men have stronger wrists ??😮😮😮 wonder why…
🤦♂️🫣
someone said the paddle head needs to be pointed down, why is that? are they right or wrong?
It really depends.
Technically, for the BH flick, your paddle will be pointed in more of a 45 degree angle. But it depends on the height of the ball

Yes!
Is the paddle supposed to brush over the top of the ball?
No, that would send the ball right into the net
@@BrionesPickleball Got it. So the form looks very similar to a punch volley but with a bit of wrist added
Yes!
@@BrionesPickleball Thank you! Very last question. Is there a topspin flick that has a motion similar to throwing a frisbee then? That was how I originally learned what I thought was the flick.
Yes, you can do that, typically the ball has to be higher than net level to do that
I saw your partner in crime using a Joola in the atlanta open and winning the round of 64.
Nice!
Awesome video! Keep em coming!
Thanks! Will do!
