Great playthrough, again. Huge fan of your campaign games :) it does feel like AH LCG is way more story than LOTR Lcg but also way less tactical. At least it feels like combat is a lot lighter in AH compared to Lotr. That makes watching your LOTR playthroughs feel more tense and your AH more relaxing, like listening to a fun story. The horror theme got through a lot better with this scenario. My favorite for this cycle I think is 1B, spiders all over the place, very fun.
So soon after 3A (at least relatively)! Just to make sure, Arcane Research specifically discounts spell upgrades. From what I could see Ward of Protection was the only upgraded spell. The Hunting Ghast would engage who you wanted. Both had 0 damage (regardless of remaining health), so you could choose. It's odd. You have to resolve the back of City of the Gugs every time you enter. But since it's no longer set aside, it has no effect. Normally locations would have the phrase "when you reveal this location" instead. Richard Upham Pickman is an ally, but doesn't have the ally icon in the lower right, so he doesn't take up the ally slot. So many counter-intuitive rules in this wonderful game.
You do not need to resolve the back of City of Gugs every time you move to it, only the first time. The rules insert says you only flip over each location once unless otherwise noted.
So Inthink the ghast first revealed would not immediately ready. It does so in the next turn. Otherwise why does it start exhausted? Not sure thoe. Have to look at the timing of the monster entering play and then it readying in the phases.
Are you talking about when you draw it from the encounter deck? I feel like any enemy comes into play ready unless it stays otherwise on the enemy card? Thanks Steve for watching!!
@@OneStopCoopShop Normally they engage when revealed. But you mention it comes out exhausted. If so it will ready next turn and not the turn they are revealed. Normally I would agree with you.
Still extremly impressed how you can handle 4 decks at once, especially with such a long break. I wish this campaign had more impact from one side on the other, such a missed opportunity, that could make this already great campaign something even greater. Weirdly, I prefer B side to the A, and can't wait for your videos of grande finales for them both :) Ps. I think Pickman doesn't take ally spot (no icon) so you could have leaved Beat cop when you got him.
I agree on that it could have been so much more interactive. Regardless really enjoying this campaign overall and thanks so much for watching and commenting!
Pickman does not take an ally slot! Thanks for all your great content :)
Oh really?! How'd I miss that!! Thanks so much!
Love those tokens.
Totally agree I love em!
Those tokens just look amazing
I so agree!!

Thanks so much for watching!! Gotta love those spiders and I agree arkham is more a board game and LOTR is certainly a card game and heavy on combat
'Most Damage' is not the same as 'least health', - both investigators had no damage, so you could choose who was engaged.
Thanks!!

Oh awesome! And yup on arcane research! Maybe I screwed it up that's what happens when you wait 2 yrs to finish a blasted campaign haha!!

Thank you Ben!!

never played this game before but splitting the party always seems like a bad idea
HAHAHAHAHA! Not always the case but in generally I'd agree!
