Squid game is very much grounded and presents the socio-economic conditions of individuals that forces the individuals to participate in these games with deadly consequences. In squid games the organiser (capitalist with means) portrays that the players have a choice , when in reality, they do not have choice, neither in the "real" world and definitely not in the squid game world (that is a make-belief world of the rich/elite for their own entertainment because they were bored of "too much money"). Bollywood does not care about the conditions of the poor, which it used to portray before the 1990s with movies like deewar, kala pathar etc., which showed the actual condition and fight of the working class who have had real substantial effect on the economy of the country. Squid game in this sense presents the vulnerabilities and helplessness of the people in a capitalist society who have no choice but to bet their own life for a chance to succeed. According to squid games the choice is this - either live in poverty with dire consequences, or wager your life where the chance of winning and surviving is 1/456, i.e., a chance less than 0.2 percent! So much for capitalism giving you opportunities to succeed!

I am studying law and according to Article 20 (2) of IC (protection against double jeopardy ) no person shall be punished twice for the same offence. For ex.- if someone is given death sentence for any reason and he didn't die ( like agar rassi tut gyi ya something else) then you cannot hang him twice that's why whenever a death sentence is given a dummy of same size and height is hanged from the rope to check whether the rope will manage the weight or not . Their are some real incidents as well where some people were released from prison because they didn't die even after the captial punishment and their are some such cases as well in the past where people said they were hanged and it is no where mentioned that hang till death so that's why judges now mention in their decision (hang till death) . These all are the meneuvers of advocates to save their clients .
