KOSOVO: PEC: ALBANIANS CONTINUE TO LOOT SERB HOUSES

Ethnic Albanians continue to burn and loot Serb houses in the city of Pec, while K-FOR troops struggle to clamp down on the violence.
The local Serb community is becoming increasingly fearful of returning K-L-A soldiers and other displaced members of the Albanian community.
As part of NATO's peacekeeping force, Italian K-FOR soldiers are patrolling the city searching people for weapons, carrying out de-mining and exploding suspect devices.
Located approximately ten kilometres from Pec lies one of Serbia's holiest sites - the 14th century Decani monastery.
The monks at the monastery are under K-FOR protection and are providing refuge for gypsy families who are afraid of vengeful K-L-A soldiers.

What are you talking about? There are Italian military forces there, so it is after signing the Cuman agreement (resolution 1244). after the signing, Serbian troops withdrew from Kosovo. So the Serbian troops could no longer do this because they withdrew..

Serbs never built the Decani monastery. Albanians built it and then serbs massacred very few Orthodox Albanians because most of them were forcefully being converted to Ottoman religion. That was an opportunity serbs used to take over the Decani monastery.
Otherwise why would serbs build a church deep into foreign land, albanian land?
Only illiterate people can believe to this absurd version of history you are referring to. No sources tell what you say, except some nationalist tabloids and other rubbish. You should study a little more, or at least take a look at the 14th century frescoes of that church (for example, the Serbian Nemanjic dinasty family tree). Greetings.

martinotito I did. They used to tell me how Boshko Buha in WW2 killed an entire german batalion on his own. Then how sebian brother partizans used to hide in the corn field while the corn was 2 meters high and snow was up to the knee for attacking the germans by surprise. You heard the same sh×t too, but from serbian teachers right? I heard this from albanian history teacher who thought us nothing about kosovo albanian history. I had to learn history by independent research in the neighboring institutions.
Well, that’s very interesting. Thank you for this curious anecdote, Mr. Selimaj. I guess both sides fostered their false myths, during past regimes. By the way: I am not Serbian, I am Italian. I am also an arts and architecture historian, and I know that Decani monastery was built by the Serbian king in 14th century, so it is a Serbian-medieval monument, very simply. It is no controversial matter, and in all serious academic environment all around the world no one would ever deny this fact (of course, there are some few bad ‘scholars’ who tell lies and lay people who believe them, as it happens in every field). Anyway, there are Albanian historical monuments in Kosovo, and there are Serbian monuments too. Which is not enough to justify the present-day Serbian claims over that land, of course. They can stay one next another, also in an independent Kosovo, it shouldn’t be a political issue or (worse) an argument for nationalists, really. There are Hungarian monuments in Romania, German monuments in Poland, Italian memories in Croatia, Greek and even Albanian memories in Italy… really, where is the problem?
