  • Why it’s called “Shaking Beef”
    because you shake the wok to get an even sear on the beef.
    Tips 🍳 Wok Flipping and Shaking your steak frequently helps your meat cook more evenly. The crisp crust on the outside and tender on the inside meat.
    Ingredients:
    10-12oz ribeye steak or filet mignon, cut into desires cube.
    1/6 onion, rough-cut.
    Small shallot, sliced
    2 stalk green onion, cut into 1-1.5" long.
    1/4-1/2 tsp black pepper, freshly ground.
    Marinate:
    1/2 clove of garlic, finely grind.
    1 tsp fish sauce
    1tsp sugar
    1 tsp soy sauce
    1 tsp oyster sauce
    Dipping sauce:
    1 juice of lime
    1/2-3/4 tsp of salt
    Freshly ground black pepper
    Method:
    Step 1:
    Cut the steak into the desires cube size.
    Marinate the steak with freshly ground garlic, fish sauce, soy sauce, and oyster sauce for 25-30 minutes.
    Step 2:
    For the sauce, freshly squeeze one lime juice, add salt and black pepper to season, set it aside.
    Step 3:
    Heat the wok in n fire hot, add oil then the steak.
    Let the steak sizzling for a minute or two or till caramelized, then turn on the other side and let them sizzling for another minute or two.
    When both sides are nicely brown and caramelized, add in the sliced shallot, then starting to flipping the wok to makes the heat more evenly.
    After the shallot turns transparent, add in the onion and green onion, then shake the wok couple more times till all onions are slightly cooked.
    Serve with lime dipping sauce.

    What kind of sugar do you use? Is it brown sugar?

      Thanks for your question. You can use raw sugar or organic sugar.
