Honestly I don't think the new harrier needs anything to work on besides the tail lamps. Which aren't bad or ugly.. it's just that people will compare it to a certain premium hatchback (ifykwim)
Yes the quality of fit and finish is a big concern that Tata Motors needs to address sooner than later! I've TiagoEV fully loaded version: similar problems: Boot plastics components fall off, glove box lock is a nonsense and it opens on jerks, the ceiling fabric comes out from door rubber linings 😮😢
A review as straight as an arrow! Lots of people used to complain about the left leg fouling with the bottom of the dashboard and the centre console. Is that issue still there?
never seen anyone pointing to shortcomings in the car like you do Sirish.. I remember you noted short comings in the fit and finish of VW Taigun which was fixed later..thank you for a candid review
Hey Sirish, Amazing review as usual🔥🔥 few quick things, I believe the Google maps litsup in the MID with the Android Auto I believe and Apple Maps with CarPlay, And on 10:05, don’t they offer a volume controls in the steering wheel?
Hey great review, really went into a lot of details! One thing i wonder is that reviewers in India don't spend much time talking about luggage room or whether the rear seats fold flat or not?
Since this was a first drive review , we rarely have the time go into a lot of details. But we shall keep this in mind when we do the comprehensive review
When you do a proper test drive, please do one in the night on Highway. It's important to get feedback about adequacy of lights. Also, do drive in congested roads. Try some roads that challenge the blind spot. Take this to some tough terrains and drives. Challenge its ADAS, although safely for sure.
Tata Harrier Fearless+ AT vs Jeep Compass Limited 4x2 AT. which1 is best? Considering: - wud keep for 8-10 years - average running is 8k/year mostly in Pune - 15-20 long-short highway trips yearly - to be driven by myself and my wife We like Jeep compass because of its look, size, safety but are hesitant because of - doubt on Jeep long term presence in India - high maintenance & part cost (nt sure) - no 360 camera and ADAS We liked the new harrier in many aspects but again - It's cost is just 2-2.5 lakhs below compass - Premiumness, fit & finish not great as Compass - size is still bigger especially width (practical for city/traffic?) Kindly share your valuable thoughts
@sirishch Which wrist watch you wore in this presentation. It’s dope! Slew of smartwatches but you have really nice taste of wearable. Please do respond if you see this.
If for daily use automatic or the manual to get....and how much does missing out on 4x4 does it affect this car.... I'm seriously considering to buy one so?!
The amount of detail in this video. Stellar! Truly blown away. One quick question set though, Are the 19 inchers on the dark edition worth it? Will the change in profile compromise on ride quality? How much costlier would the tyres be?
One small error. When you connect an Apple device to the ICE only apple maps can be projected onto the center console. While if you connect an Android device, only Google Maps can be projected on the center screen.
That's the best part of removing the buttons and given touch sensitive. It looks cool and amazing. Marvellous design. Use voice recognition and adjust the controls while driving.
This facelift has made Harrier the best in segment (5 seater SUV) The more I drive Harrier, the more I like it. Excellent machine. Well planted on highways
Well presented and covered all the aspects in the presentation, pretty well. No un-necessary chirping and fiddling, which others do in their presentation.
Crisp review!!! Liked it. Question: My usage of the bigger vehicle is low. If I make the diesel Harrier stand still for a month with no usage will it develop any problem related to DPF or anything related to engines being a diesel vehicle? Otherwise I will opt for Seltos Petrol Turbo. Only the look and feel of Harrier is making me double minded.
No modern vehicle would have a problem if it's unused just for a period of a month. For longer periods, the manual should have procedure you can follow to no cause any problems. Apart from that, look after the car well, and you shouldn't have any issues.
Run away from the Harrier. This is a quarter baked one. Go for the Seltos. It's a far rounded product. Even the pre-facelift top-end Seltos , had plushness in the cabin on par with the Volvo V40 during my TD in 2019. Just to give you a picture. Yes, the sheet metal build is inferior to the Harrier and poses safety concerns regarding the build. Keep that in mind. Personally I feel such hefty sheet metal build is an overkill deadweight futilely lugged around by the engine. Aside from this, Seltos is miles ahead than the Harrier. And, the dimensions of the Seltos is more agile, friendly for anywhere/everyday use.
Amazing upgrades! Great review on the hands of Sirish and this new headlamp deserves a night time review in different scenarios as this new setup may limit user customization/upgrade. And @evo team, will this replace your existing long term harrier?
Superb review Sirish ! Everyone simply focuses only on the positives and go crazy over its looks. You balanced both negatives and positives! Best automotive reviewer in India.
Unless a car offers 4*4 capability, i really don’t see the upside to owning a manual on a daily driver car in 2023. Not only is the technology ancient, our roads, traffic and parking constraints just make an Auto a lot more practical. 70-80% of their running time cars are stuck in traffic. The only time I’d really consider a Manual is if it is new age, smooth, with powershift etc. and it’s your secondary or weekend car.

Wonderful and detailed review. Already a huge fan of Sirish. Being a Harrier owner, completely agree about the quality issues, especially finishing and minor glitches which are not showstoppers but more of irritants. This new version looks great. Am I tempted to exchange my current one for this? Nah - same engine performance .. isn't it? XUV700 will still remain numero uno in this segment in that department. As it's manual, how adaptive cruise control will work? Will it downshift or upshift automatically
You will have to manually take control and drop gears once the revs go below 1500rpm
