Metro 2033 and Last Light are VERY good games if you haven't played them you are really missing out. Such a great story and definitely one of the most immersive single player FPS games. The Metro books are amazing as well.

The guns, the watch, the mask---everything is a dead giveaway it's a Metro game. But yeah, he did say he wasn't able to play any of the games in the series so it's forgivable.

The bullet lighter was the final confirmation for me.
I was thinking about the good old days being Artiom killing mutant and shit before going off to bed last night ...and today I found out a new metro is going to come out...this is what happens when a gamer don't plays for a long time
Apparently in Metro Exodus you're either Artyom himself or his son. Lots of speculation is going around that you're Artyom in this game and that this is after you launched the nukes to destroy the Dark Ones.
Something I find unique to the metro games is that when you have your mask on and get attacked, it can break and you need to find a new one.
They new it was metro because in the beginning of the trailer there was a dog tag next to the gas mask and it had the metro symbol on it.
These developers came from GSC, they did S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
The complete lack of Metro knowledge is disturbing on so many levels.

Man I'm excited. I wonder if it will be like before for me, I've always found outdoors more tense in Metro. In the tunnels danger can only come from so many places.

metro is a very popular game but i notice many americans had no idea about this game, this is the third reaction vid ive watched and all of them had no idea metro 2033 is.
Yeah it's not as popular here. Which led to the big misunderstanding by the Metro community. Just because it is popular in your area doesn't mesn that it is popular is another.
And metro was befoure last of us. You realy need to get into this game!
+gena4ka First, I do know what the Metro series is. I know of every single game in the series, I've just never played them. Secondly, that shouldn't be that surprising. The series isn't near as prevalent as many of you are making it out to be. Each game in the series has sold like a million units total. That is nothing spectacular from a sales standpoint even if the games themselves are excellent. Lastly, I never said The Last Of Us came before any of the Metro games. I said that the mutated/infected animals could steal the eventual thunder from The Last Of Us Part II if Naughty Dog decides to transfer the cordyceps fungus to animals in the game. - Andrew

ПьеRO Infected is what they're called in The Last Of Us. That's why it's mentioned in this comment. It's mentioned in the video because we didn't know the exact story of the Metro series. Once again, you're another Metro fan that is making the community look pretentious and elitist.
I first saw an article in game informer before Metro 2033 came out. Got it on the day it was released on the xbox 360. Was so excited to get it. I was like 13 years old. I have since switched to PC and gotten Both the original Metro 2033 in last light Both of the redux version, played all of them multiple times. I am so excited for Exodus. The they said 4A Games and i saw the snowy landscape with the gas mask i knew it was a Metro game.
U guys waited untill the end to confirm its metro , from that ash city and atleast from that gas mask, orr at leats from that watch , the sound of the watch , and tooo many talking during the trailer to give a reaction so u guys failed.
The good ending, Artyom survived, so this is carrying on from Last light one year later.
This is my most anticipated game ....Ever, i can die a happy gamer having played this.
I've watched the trailer like 30 times in the last two days already , and that " 28 days later " music is lit !!
....and yes, that was ANNA on the train :)
And another good news: it's, thanks the God-Emperor, not related to the Metro 2035 which was a total shit.

Yes thats what got me the outside used to be this snowy unbreathable nuclear winter full of horrors whereas the metro tunnels were a place of safety (atleast in comparison) but im guessing now the nuclear winter has passed and some of the surface is now habitable.

Because:
1) it's years after the D6 clusterfuck.
2) it's not in Moscow, but, if I'm not mistaken, in Vladivostok.
The majority of the land is habitable again, more or less, though mutants are much more active now.

If youre gonna play the exodus becoude its looking cool you really have to play metro 2033 and metro last light. Redux versions of them are good and have a incredibly good storyline and feelings.

Not really, The Metro games often look fantastic, so I expect this sort of quality in the final game. Their main issue is usually optimization for the PC ports.
obviously it was a scripted sequence for demo purpose. but the graphics will look very similiar in real gameplay.
