I had the same Problem. The noses at the Bottom of the Slider were worn out. I used the Yamaha warranty. They changed the whole body and the slider. My opinion is, the slider is not made for larger or heavier windscreens. I had only the short Yamaha windscreen but a navsat holder from GIVI mounted, equipped with a s7 mobile. Rode on partly bad roads in greece and morocco. After the repairing i ride now a Puig Sport screen, and I'm happy😊 Best regards from Bavaria.
how do you find your Puig Sport screen do you get much wind buffeting and if you don't how tall are you because I understand that makes a big difference thanks
@yamahanewbie No more buffeting. I'm 172 and I ride the screen always in the highest position. It's still enough protection to ride permanently 150 km/h on the Autobahn.
This rattle noise drives me nuts. How is it after 2 moths? I am planning to tear down front and put some adhesive backed felt on lower skeed of the sceen holder.

That cant be real about the slider because the tracer 7 GT has a lot bigger windshield

It is so much better are used to drive me. Absolute bonkers as well the noise, but it seems to be okay touchwood
