I saw that tutorial for the bow sun hat and was thinking of making one, is it an easy pattern? I don't imagine it is too complicated, probably one of those patterns which is a lot more simple than it seems. I love the beach cover up, the back of it looks GREAT!
Yes, it is easy to follow, the instructions are clear. Just make sure that you use yarns suitable for hats, and be mindful of the tension as well. I made my first one using a soft and flowy type of yarn and the hat did not hold its form, I wasn’t happy with the result. I didn’t have the yarn used in the video that time. So when I made another one, I used a stiffer yarn and chose a hook size that made the stitches tighter, and the finished project looked way better.

Thank you so much for showing us your wip projects. So excited to hear that you will be having a tutorial for the beach coverup.. Also can we use combed cotton for the hat?
Yes, I made one with combed cotton, it was the thicker one, Dapper Dreamer 10 ply, #4 medium weight, so it’s actually thicker than this monaco one in the video and also worked great.

😍 ganyan din po gagawin kong hat hehe. ilang round po kaya ideal round po sa brim? gawa ko po 13 rounds. medyo saggy na sa front. ganun po ba talaga siya? hihi.
Medyo iniba po ako ng konti, di na ko nagincrease every round sa brim, parang every 2 rounds may increase tapos yung sunod wala increase. Kasi masyado lumapad yung dati kong gawa na increase every round.
