Just use hemming tape! Place with pin or draw around with dressmakers chalk! Cut hemming tape to size, place patch, damp t towel, iron over! 1 min per patch!
Tijana Arsenijevic do you know if I use the E6000 to glue the patches onto a leather or leather type jacket, if it will turn out professional? You sewed the patches on but that will take me a long time if I'm doing several jackets. have you ever used E 6000 or any other type of fabric glue, etc. to apply patches onto leather? Let me know what your professional thoughts are. :)
Karen Cas Actually never tried 6000 glue I don't like to blue stuff because I know every time I would wash them in my washing machine they will come off so I usually always preferred to sew them , if i have to use glue I use textail glue I purchased in any fabric store
Karen Cas sew them., my friend did a bomb patchwork jacket actually 3 of them and charged $300. By the end of the month her customers were requesting money back because of the glue. I would use leather glue to keep them in place and sew them down. Good luck on your business
You went with the difficult method. I congratulate you for your dedication and hard work. Your method may be the best quality method. But what about glue?
kaioceanlove it depends my jacket it was fux leather so it does on the hols so I do prefer use old jacket , if you would go with fabric jacket it won't leave any holes
Yeah, I was gonna say, i found this video because i was trying to find out how to put patches on REAL leather, I'm a metalhead with a lot if patches and I've broke 3 needles trying to get ONE patch on
personally i wouldn't put a snake with birds, skulls would probably been better or some bedazle jewels, really this is not a tranfomation.....sorry but i don't like it.....its like covering a hole in a pair of jeans with leather patches
girl, the title should be "how to SEW patches on leather jackets" because by clicking on this video I thought I was going to see you MAKE the patches XD
Just use hemming tape! Place with pin or draw around with dressmakers chalk! Cut hemming tape to size, place patch, damp t towel, iron over! 1 min per patch!

thanks so much for the advice and warning!! will do
This is so cool🤩 makes me wanna do a DIY project. Very nice!
Looks great and great job sewing it. I wouldn't do it just because it would take me forever to sew it. I would rather glue it on🤣
Nice work ! What about the lining, did you sew through it ?
no it is glue patches
I have a peeling faux pleather jacket. The sleeves puffing up and about to peel. Might just patch it up. Good idea. Thanks
happy to help
Love this idea but can glue be used. I'm not good with sewing.

You went with the difficult method. I congratulate you for your dedication and hard work. Your method may be the best quality method. But what about glue?

I make leather patches. Can you suggest some idea, design or theme?
Hmm I don't know I am very into flowers and bugs and that things, maybe nature I'm not sure but that is just something that I would like to do
DesignBam I need some patches made for my client. Is there any way I can get him touch with you through a business page or something
If you don’t mind me asking, how did you make it so the stitching looked ok on the inside of the jacket? :)
And that the how you made it so the leather didn’t rip?
Lovely jacket

Allan Wright thank you
I love this!!😍
you can't iron those on?
Elizabeth Kittan no not those but you can bey one that you can iron
@@tijanaarsenijevic5157 So iron-on patches can also be applied on leather material? I thought it will ruin the leather
Iron patches sucks because they come off . It’s better for them to be sewed.
