Hello I just love all your tutorials because I always learn something new from them. You are a great instructor. Those straps are gorgeous and I can’t wait to try making them. I do have a question about the buttons could you tell me what size you recommend for them and where to purchase the punch. Thank you so much and have a wonderful day.
Question… hi Chris great tutorial as usual but can you answer this for me.. is there a way that the zipper can be put on the top without dropping it down, a lot of those types of bags have a zipper across the top.. thank you
Yes, you can. I suggest doing a zipper placket, just like normal, but then inserting it at the top when you sew the bag together prior to turning it. If you do this hack, we would love to see it on the Facebook Group!
I got the Sam Brown buttons from Gold Star tool. I used the 8mm www.goldstartool.com/sam-browne-button-stud-and-screw.htm I got the punch from Tandy. tandyleather.com/products/buttonhole-punches?variant=31978349658243¤cy=USD&gclid=Cj0KCQjw2eilBhCCARIsAG0Pf8u1SsYc9ZnYXsTColpPSgd85etML3SyKbZEEjEA3CgArKCgCKPRWhgaAgb7EALw_wcB Thank you for watching!
For the strap connector, why not cut it in a y shaped doubled over of course. Then you could add 2 rivets on each side and the design is more balanced as well.
I saw the bobbin ran out and I was screaming Chris ... Chris ... bobbin omg it is my biggest phobia lol. Great tutorial thank you for all you do.
Lol! I had a feeling someone would see it! It got me that day 🤣
Thank you Chris! Another fabulous tutorial 😊
Great tutorial thanks for the change in strap connectors and handle.
What a great way to make strap connectors, and to adjust the length and I have some 🎉
This was great tutorial, thank you!
You’re welcome! Thank you for watching!

Terrific tutorial! Does your needle get gummed up from the double sided tapes?
Thank you for watching! My industrial machine does not, but my domestic does. I always keep alcohol pads or Goo Off and a paper towel handy.
nice bag, I plan on making this. where do you get the specialized punch for those Sam Brown buttons, and what size are those buttons?

Excellent idea! Thank you!
Hi Chris. Pretty changes to this bag. Love the buttons on the strap. What’s that background noise around 13:00?
Rain! It started storming just as I was filming, crazy!! Thank you for watching Lisa!
Kind of a Carmel. Very pretty
Yes, good way to describe it, camel.
Some people refer to those buttons as Sam Browns.
Yes! Not sure why though, do you know?
Oh my god what is all that noise, so distracting
Rain! Isn’t is crazy, I don’t know how the microphone picked it up!!
