Hello, thank you so much for all your tutorials and patterns. I just purchased the Leah tote, but haven’t sewn it up yet. I was wondering if you have ever tried to sew it without a cylinder arm sewing machine? I don’t own a cylinder arm at least not yet. Thanks, Sheila
Thank you for watching Sheila. I have not tried, I think it would be difficult because it has to be a drop in-lining and the divider will probably make it difficult to maneuver. I suggest stitching it together along the inside edge instead of the outside edge. Just make sure your bobbin thread look okay and you should be fine. Please be sure to subscribe.
Why don't we add the strap connector before topstitching the side outer and lining together so the stitching doesn't show? Thank you for the great tutorial!
That is certainly an option. The original bag did it after-the-fact and it shows on the outside. Just a design feature. I tried to copy the original as closely as possible. Thank you so much for watching, please be sure to subscribe :)

I love the versatility of this pattern, the contrasting thread is a very nice touch. I have some absolutely gorgeous dragon cotton canvas that I’m going to use with this pattern. Thank you ! ❤ also I do not cut off the bottom of my zipper pocket. When you sew it shut you’ll have more room and the seam will just be moved up .

You certainly can! The number 3 zippers we carry are fairly neutral in color, but get creative!

Chris, I love your videos. How do you sell your bags? I’m having no luck or just don’t know what I’m doing.
Hello! I do not sell my finished bags. Just the patterns and materials. The bags are used at shows and classes for demonstration. Once they are “retired”, they are donated to my local battered women’s shelter.
And YES, The COPYMAXY Tote! I have in Candy Pink and I've been rocking my "Barbie" bag all summer. Yay!

Hm, the paint used for bags is acrylic. Not sure what model car paint is but it might be worth a try.

How do I straightening a leather tassel ?
The best way is to lay something heavy on it if possible. Sometimes that isn’t because of the tassel cap. But see if you can make that work.
Hi Chris, I think I put my slip pocket too high. Where should the slip pocket go on the lining piece?
It should be about 1.5” to 2” from the top of the lining. Then of course you will add the upper lining piece.
