      No, being Peter Parker is xD

    • @nooneinparticular1491
      @nooneinparticular1491 16 дней назад +3

      Perhaps, it's a test. There's a bigger purpose for him - and maybe a lot of power to come with it - but he needs to prove his worthiness, and there's a big difference between being willing to sacrifice everything for the greater good, and actually sacrificing everything for the greater good.

    • @ul8532
      @ul8532 16 дней назад +5

      @nooneinparticular1491 that already happened one of the itinerarions of Spiderman 2099, he was worthy of Mjolnir and ruled a utopia with Loki, then you had Cosmic Spiderman, but I think he resigned the cosmic thing due to stress and all that comes with it if my memory serves right on that one, what is happening and have been happening for a decade or two is Marvel keep employing people who don't like Spiderman and the message this character sent nor liked Stan Lee from the start(the mess they did saying certain things out to the public thinking that wouldn't have consequences when Stan Lee died was epic).
      So Spidey keeps suffering more and more, that is if he's not used to do a political claim, like the creation of Miles Morales which had the original objective to substitute Peter Parker with the unspoken excuse of being the frist black Spidey which is stupid since way before him we had Spider punk which is black and one of the characters from the 60's brother voodoo series which was a Spiderman and black too, so as much I would like to think that too it isn't clearly the case.

      It's a gift, but also a curse.
      you get the power to help people and save the day from bad guys... but you gotta do it all the time, and have greater risk of losing your loved ones.
      Thats how it is. "With great power, comes great responsibility" but we tend to focus on the responsibility to use the powers well

      miles morales hasn't been along for decades like peter. people, especially hardcore fans are anti change and anti new faces behind the legacy made by other characters. Then there's the uncomfortable reality that many comic book fans aren't even happy that miles is biracial.
      even though i love miles, i don't have the same connection to him because I grew up with peter parker and his specific life stories and personality.

      And the fact they were pushing Miles onto people faces didn't helped at all, on top of that they were adding more and powers to him that hardly feels like a Spiderman now...Besides people doesn't have any problem with Spiderman from another ethnicities, you have one Indian, one arab, two Japanese , one british of my memory serves right even one who is biracial who is half Irish and half mexican so that excuse doesn't sums it up...

    • @chrismaguire3667
      @chrismaguire3667 17 дней назад

      He is an 'Everyman', as Stan Lee and Steve Ditko meant him to be.
      If you go back to his origin and follow his civilian life at high school - the studying, the *bullying he endured,* and being the outsider wallflower milksop - but getting love, acceptance and support from his aunt and uncle, both elderly, living on a tight income, tighter when Ben died and how Peter took that as his fault (as was touched on this story) and why - this resonated with those you would now consider as 'boomers' (and, yeah, I am one and very happy to be), and many outsider teens - nerdy types that couldn't kick a ball straight, and that was me also - who carried the stories into the next generation and beyond, this is what has endeared Spider Man to Hundreds of Millions of nerds like me in the past 60 years.
      What he is perceived as now by Millenials to Gen Xes and Zeds is so far removed from that ideal, it's not surprising you don't get the appeal.
      We rode all the triumphs and failures, in and out of costume, with Peter every week or month, but we always cheered and stood with him when he got back up, no matter how badly he got beaten.
      Superman and the Bat never seemed to lose or get really hurt, even though they were also orphaned, Supes especially, and though Wayne's troubled mind has been an issue over the past couple of decades, he had his wealth.
      With Supes, he won by just turning up (apart from recent years); how delicious when Spidey got a Red Sun treatment from Lex Luthor, who teamed up with Doc Ock in the first Marvel/DC crossover in the 1970's, and managed to get some major licks in while enhanced. Until it wore off - then enter the Hulk!
      But, yeah, you could liken Wayne to Tony Stark in that vein, though Stark was always a vainglorious jerk of which he always knew about himself. That would be an interesting crossover, just those two alone.
      To return, the differences, though, are subtle and I suppose a psychiatrist can explain better - maybe Parker needs one, or a priest. Or both.
      As a Christian, one of the recent stories where Parker "meets" Jesus, who shows him the *true* extent of his endeavours, without explaining to him the need Parker has of the Gospel of John, Chapter 3, verses 1-17, is very poigniant. In my view, anyway. To understand it, you should read a Gospel as well, maybe John. But Luke is better (not Luke Cage, that is😏).
      For what it's worth from a long-time affectionadio of Spider-Man, there it is. He's a vulnerable superhero, but still stands despite it all. And, if I may say as an Autist, he probably has Asperger's Syndrome as well, *very, VERY* high-functioning, at that. Excelsior!
