We’re sailing her August 2024, our cabin is 9244, so we’ll have the same balcony. Which is funny because we also had the same angled balcony on the Epic last October!

Is the angled balcony as big as the one in 8138? Just curious.

Thank you for your video the information regarding the balcony is INVALUABLE as that’s always my favorite part of the state rooms. We just booked a sailing for September 24 to Greece on this ship so I’ll definitely be trying to snag one of these cabin assignments. One question… are the other stateroom numbers with the same extra balcony space?

As far as I know the only other balcony like this one is on the opposite side of the ship. That would be cabin 8238. I hope this helps. Cheers🛳️👍🏻

No I don’t think so. Those other ones like 9244 etc are slightly larger because of the angle but nowhere near the size of ours. 👍🏻

Seems to apply to Encore ship also based on reported dimensions when booking, balcony is like 100+sqft normal balcony for same class right next to it is 50sqft.

A sample menu is NCL 's lazy way of supplying old food items they may no longer serve and the prices have usually changed. Like I just saw a video of a Russian group who showed a Cagney's menu and adding a lobster tail was only a $10 added charge as a second entrée, but in their recent menu it said $20! The porterhouse steak may or may not be available as they are pushing ribeye steaks and filet mignon. I mean really how difficult is it to take a sample of the current menu of any restaurant onboard and load it up to the NCL site?

Agreed, it seems this is common practice among all the cruise line websites. I would suggest we use these “sample menus” as an example of the possible food offerings and not so much the price.
Also, supply of product can change from ship to ship and these menus are more generic and not ship specific.

Nope. We never heard a thing. It was one of my concerns with the room but was never an issue. Overall a really great location.

Is Ncl getaway a good ship
All depends on your own personal experience. It was our first ncl ship and we really enjoyed it. I might add that we purchased entrance into the vibe beach club and I think it really enhanced our experience.
The short answer is … yes … the Getaway is a good ship. 👍🏻
Im going December 27th. Was it a full ship like usual? Do they make you wear a mask
I cruised on her before the current situation.
But at this time NCL have no masking requirements or capacity limits according to their website. They sail at 100% vaccinated.

When I last called NCL Casino At Sea the rep said the current ships are only sailing with 50-60% full!

You can smoke at like three slot machines in the whole casino and that still bothers you ridiculous

3 small rows of slots on the right hand side of casino is smoking only w the newer ships w casino in the center and open to ship smoking is highly restricted unlike the Gem and older ships
Booked again out of NYC getaway hv 2 in Dec and spoke w my concierge and still same applies for Dec 2023
