You have to sue them for damages & lost wages. Don't settle on anything less than the bill money you paid & all the extra money you spent. Don't try & do it yourself, a lawyer can get it done 4 you my friend. Keep working & getting your bills paid. You will come out on top in the long run 💪🏾✊🏾. We always do 👍🏾

god knows...did they counter-bore..did they even measure protrusion or just slap the head on...if they are not even willing to provide warranty papers or any kind of warranty..that should tell you everything...but they got 45k That's what's important

Damn these Half-Ass, Truck repair shops strike again...can not be more than to careful where you go for your repairs. To many of these Midas Muffler type truck repair now days all over the place.
New to the channel. Sorry about hear about the peterbilt. I have driven a few T680 Kenworth I really like them they have alot of room in them for sure .
man that really sucks. i've been at the shop getting a full rebuilt and it took 4 weeks to get to my truck. the mechanic has overhauled my dads trucks going my back to the 90"s and have always gone over a million. yes it sucks to be down for almost 2 months ones im back on the road but i know the quality. even then things can always go south with mechanical stuff. best of luck my friend
Geez man this really sucks, but as you know quitting is no option. Like you said, you will get it all worked out. Figure out what happened,I mean what caused the damage and go from there. I like the t680 it's what I drive. Wish mine was spect like yours. Anyway I've seen some really nice t680s when guys put lights and chrome on them.
That's really sad to hear about the Pete, I don't know how I would have handled that. For a long time it has been a dream of mine to be a truck driver and own my own truck, I don't know if it still is or not, I'm 33 going on 34, I'm disabled due to severe lower back pain as well as being autistic, I haven't worked since 2016. I wish I could say that I'm hopeful about it, but I don't even own my own house at 33, or a car for that matter, so owning a semi doesn't seem very possible haha. I suppose anything is possible. Anyway, I feel for you man, I hope things get better, I can't wait to see what you have planned for the T680, take care :)
Aww man! if it's something you're interested in..just go find a co. that will train you..Big Mega trucking co. always are hiring and will train...you're not going to be making crazy money but it will get you your exp and after about a year or 2 you can move to better things...if you drive a truck you really don't need a house or...stay in the truck and save money..few years and you could own one! It's totally possible!...just don't let the Mega Carriers talk you into Leasing a truck from them...

Basically the same thing that happened to you happened to me I couldn’t do anything about it but let’s just say that Shop is no longer in business. A shop is as good as their reputation and they’re bad reputation caught up to them. The shop was the master of shortcuts and at the end he got cut short. Brother, I only wish you nothing but success. Just remember, there’s many of us to follow your channel not just for the content but the honest person that you truly are. You are one of the reasons I bought a freightliner classic, so stay strong buddy. 🫡🙏
Thats bullshit. They should be covering that. You pay for an overhaul and they let that garbage out their shop? They should be ashamed. They should fix that at their cost not yours.
shop that built the engine should honor the build and repair the engine at no cost to you. how could there be 3 cracks in the head if they had it tested ? your coolant was going into the combustion chamber and possibly the crank case. sounds like a small claims court issue. gonna have to sue them. thats too much money for a bad engine rebuild . Best wishes , terrible circumstance. Like you say, no way out except to keep addressing every issue that comes up. this will end, hopefully as soon as possible.

I just ran into this channel very nice rig you had a bit gimmicky with the dual sticks but cool none the less. Does that shop offer any type of warranty on their work?. It sucks to pour your blood and sweat, make the sacrifice of being on the road away from your family for some scum bags to just screw you over on such a high expense. Wishing you the best specially the way rates and other things are in the industry right now.
People must take responsibility for their actions, from a mechanotechnology stand point, Just like the "doctors oath", you must have your moral compass in check before undertaking repairs on customers vehicles, Don't do unto others what you don't want done unto you!!! You cannot bypass or put a similar thermostat, instead of the factory spec, they all serve a different purpose and most of the time not compatible, and if the customer has to research this, then you are running a mickey mouse operation, And need a hammer dropped on your head, "We call it a technical tap"!!!. How do you sleep at night if your disrupt the lives of people because of poor workmanship.?

For $45,000 you should have took it to cat. In had a platinum overhaul done and got a warranty with it
