The most memorable choral experience of my life. I will never forget the seven days making music with greatest choral conductor of my lifetime.
Magnificent! What a challenge! 7 days...
would you remember the edition you used please? Why was the sea changed in to the ocean in 34?
Again thank you.
"Beautiful, very lovely." Choirs, Conductors, and Choristers LIVE for these moments. It's why we show up for rehearsal: that's inevitably where they happen. One of my choristers used to remind me of this. When rehearsing at the end of a long work day, she would say "I was too tired to stay home." Singers will understand this. Soli Deo Gloria!
"they're gonna hate me, because I'm going to insist on a much higher standard from them"
I feel you girl. Haven't joined a choir yet because all choirs in the vicinity -the country, even- are subpar, at least, for a long run membership.
I still need to re-experience that feeling of euphoria that comes when several lengthy rehearsals culminate into a beautiful masterpiece
@Caspian Ryder like I don't know that these are linked accounts
Incredibly insightful video from a master!!
What a treasure, these videos of Meastro Shaw's rehearsals, almost equally enjoyable as performances in concert, but with different effects and purpose. Thanks for posting.
Amen!! It is that inner energy with the clock!!
After watching all this, now I want to watch the actual performance. I love this work.
Me too!!!! I think it’s only right to be able to watch/hear the final product after seeing the rehearsal process! Shaw was amazing.
@@jacobbump1282 I cried during "If with All Your Hearts..."
That’s such a beautiful aria. 🎶🙏
the tenor does a wonderful job! Bravo!
Thank you very much Carnegie Hall, for posting. I had a great time following Mr. Shaws words. Every video in this series is just wonderful.
Thank you Carnegie Hall for these videos. I tried the rehearsal methods i learned by watching these videos on my high school choir and the choir and I were pleasantly surprised at what we heard! Thank you so much for posting these! :-)
