The battery carrier / tube is said to be compatible with the GT94X by Neal and it is substantially higher quality than any other tube I have seen. Lumintop did a fantastic job on it imo, PD 3.0 makes it 100w in/out, it strikes a very good balance between flood and throw I find.
I had never an interest in GT98, because I remember how their last GT94 had poor output sustainability after turbo step down (around 350lm lol), so I decided not to risk buying GT98.

Can the battery be replaced? If not that would completely ruin it for this price but I've not seen anyone take it out in a video.

I’m sad this does not hit lumen claims. Not even close. It’s beautifully designed, but claiming 900lumen and getting 300 in reality is just…sad.
sure, it hadn't reached 910lm, but is making claimed 1600m of range fortunately. I measured around 450lm at start here.
