    Just subscribed to you. You seem to have a very high IQ. A lot of great points. One thing I like to do is shake the oil bottle to keep the additives off the bottle, and in the oil. I've seen a lot, with my own eyes, and in some videos, the additive package of Pennzoil synthetic leave some of the additive package in the bottle with a black substance at the bottom of the bottle.

    • @JonnyDIY
      @JonnyDIY  5 лет назад +3

      Thanks for watching Christopher. Good point. I usually shake the bottles out of habit of shaking things haha. I hadnt really thought of the additive separation, but will make sure I'm shaking all from now on. Thanks!

    I was hoping there was some secret to removing an oil filter that's too tight. Couldn't get anything to grab at that terrible angle so I keep taking it in to a shop.

    • @JonnyDIY
      @JonnyDIY  3 года назад +3

      Get a Toyota Oil filter socket or a set.
      amzn.to/3p7DjL6
      If you dont want a whole set, go to pepboys, Autozone, o'reillys and get the one that fits just that filter. Check in parking lot to make sure it fits right.
      Once you start doing oil changes yourself you usually wont need a wrench, jiffy lube type places always over tighten them 👍🏻
